You can just turn your brain off for 2 hours and watch these two monsters go at it. Iโm thankful that not too much time is wasted to get to the fight. The humans are the weakest parts of all of these movies, so itโs good there isnโt too much focus on them. I completely forgot that Alexander Skarsgard and Rebecca Hall starred in this. They were completely forgettable characters. I like Bryan Tyree Henry in the TV show Atlanta and in the movie Bullet Train, but here I found him to be completely annoying and not essential to the plot. This was great seeing it on IMAX, nothing beats a film experience on IMAX. I was rooting for Kong and look forward to seeing the sequel soon. . . Wifeโs Review: 8/10 . Godzilla vs Kong is a fun monster movie full of fun fight sequences. The human characters are pretty weak and this time around they werenโt too focused on so we got plenty of time to see these two monsters battle it out. No time was wasted to get to the first showdown between the two of them. The special effects look great. The storyline of figuring out how to get to Hollow Earth was interesting, but it seemed too easy to get there. They described it as damn near impossible, yet they now have the specialized crafts available to get them there. And once again the big bad human thinks they can control a Titan, but this time in robot form. And of course it didnโt work out. The final showdown with Mechagodzilla was pretty cool and it was nice to see them team up at the end to take down Mechagodzilla. Intendiamoci: non รจ che Dune sia brutto. ร sicuramente interessante dal punto di vista tecnico, registicamente magniloquente, musicalmente ok (anche se Zimmer ormai parodizza se stesso) e penso che anche alcuni spunti di sceneggiatura possano intrigare. Ciรฒ detto, รจ palesemente una parte 1, diluita all'inverosimile, con personaggi modesti (Duncan Idaho: รจ simpatico; il personaggio di Brolin: รจ burbero; Paul: รจ insopportabile; Chani o come si scrive: appena accennata), eccetto direi la Ferguson e il Duca di Oscar Isaac, e sorretta da uno script veramente non all'altezza che รจ poca, pochissima roba. Alla fine, che cos'ha Dune piรน del blockbuster standard, eccetto la regia? Nulla. La noia, magari, ed un eccesso di freddezza che sarร pure ricercata, ma che non รจ efficace. Il tentativo di rendere epico e magniloquente anche un dramma personale, di filtrarlo sotto una lente di algore e di regalitร , trattandosi di vicende di grosso impatto politico, lo rende paradossalmente meno potente, ed in fondo importa poco dello sterminio di una casata, proiettati giร verso il futuro messianico di un Paul davvero poco carismatico. Le riflessioni e gli spunti che introduce sono rimandati a una parte 2 che ancora non ho visto, ma qui sono appena accennati. The score and soundtrack were great in the film and kept the tone to where it was consistent. And the gore, wow the gore. Holy, it made me thrilled throughout. Not to mention that our leads were pretty good. As for what didn't work. The dialogue, at times, was a little coo coo for cocoa puffs. The script could have had one more read through. Also, I'm not the biggest fan of slow motion. I feel here it was used too much and wasn't that effective. The movie presents a very unsettling and creepy atmosphere. It was beautiful from a cinematic standpoint, but the story just wasn't gripping enough. The film is set in a beautiful location. The real standout of the film is in its cinematography; lingering beautiful establishing shots of the countryside the couple live in. The ending left a large enough void solely for subjective comprehension. Overall "Lamb" may not be liked by everyone it's still worth a watch for its different and strange feel as it leaves a viewer to think and apprehend.
