⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/🌶🌶🌶/ Adult Sci-Fi The Segonian by Dianne Duvall is the second book in her Aldebarian Alliance series and pick up where The Lasaran ends. It is a really effortless transition. I have to say that this one gripped me more than the first book. This is about Eliana who is basically lost in space wearing nothing but her space suit. And the closest ship, captained by Dagon, is a month away and her oxygen won't last that long. From the moment of their first communication it is a race to get to Eliana on time even if Dagon doesn't believe there is any way to reach her on time. With the threat of being captured by a hostile alien race very much possible it is a race to get to her. Will he be there on time? . . . Spoilers Ahead! . . . This book had me crying from the beginning. I think the thought of being alone in that much space and the thought of dying alone there is just heartbreaking. And the conversations she and Dagon had just made me root for them. Since I didn't exactly know about the Immortal Guardians series I didn't really know all that Eliana could do. So, I was just as skeptical as Dagon in the beginning. I still hoped that he would get there on time. And I loved how she kicked butt and that Dagon believed in her skill ans supported her. How many men on earth wouldn't feel intimidated by the fact that a woman was more knowledgeable and physically stronger than they were. I was certainly rooting for them to find Ava on time considering what they could have been doing to her. The next book in the series is The Purveli which I now need to read to figure out what had happened to her.
