🏰 Anniversary trip ❤️ This past weekend my husband and I spent 3 days at Disneyland celebrating our one year wedding anniversary 🥰. We honestly had the best time, it was just us, no kids, we left our work worries at home, and really got to enjoy each other’s company. We had so much fun together! We got to nerd out over Star Wars stuff, got on a bunch of rides, took cheesy couple photos, met an artist, spotted a celebrity, and ate a bunch of food. Don’t mind me if I overshare from princess weekend - I’m still in denial that it’s over….how about some recaps I planned on running on the challenge but when an opportunity to do the 5K with a charity bib for the @americancancersociety opened up, I couldn’t pass up the chance. Because I signed up so late, I only had a month to fundraise but my amazing family and friends rallied to blow my fundraising goal out of the water well before the deadline! They shared stories of their loved ones and allowed me the privilege to run in their honor. I knew this race was not for speed - my goal was to share the message and to soak in the moment. I did just that. I stopped for every character no matter the length of the line and I held my sign with pride at every photo stop. If you ever have the the chance to run for a charity that means so much, grab it and hold on for an unforgettable experience. I was honored to carry the names of so many beautiful souls with me and even more honored when my sign was read aloud by the race announcers as I approached the finish line. “Using the force to run for them - together we fight” Thank you #teamdetermination for letting me be a part of the incredible work you do!!
