Please read and help us find a loving home for Leonard and Rascal! These 13-year-old brothers are just the most charming older gentlemen you’ll ever meet. They are sweet, happy and their love for each other and humans around them is infectious. Rascal and Leonard have been together all their lives. Unfortunately, Rascal has recently been diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure. His time with us and his brother, Leonard, is limited. However, his quality of life is good for now, and medication is helping to keep him comfortable and happy. Currently, these boys are doing well in a foster home. We are looking for a permanent loving home willing to care for these boys, despite Rascal's limited time left with us. We sincerely hope that we can find a home that will provide them with the love and care they deserve. Our ultimate goal is for Leonard to be able to mourn the loss of his brother in the arms of his forever humans when the inevitable happens. We understand that this is not an easy request, and there might be very few people who can open their hearts and homes to such a situation. In diesem Jahr begleitet uns Kirsten und wir sind sehr froh eine sehr erfahrene Trainerin an unserer Seite zu haben. Neue Gesichter gibt es nur zwei, aber wir haben jetzt Monate darauf gewartet sie endlich live zu sehen. Sir. Henry und Reuben sind zwei der Jännerwelpen die noch keinen Pflegplatz in Nis beziehen konnten. Umso wichtiger ist es jetzt, die zwei Buben gut zu fördern und darum haben wir wieder ein paar neue Sachen für den Puppyrun im Gepäck. Die zwei Jungs sind aufgeschlossen, mutig, neugierig und voller Motivation neue Dinge zu erkunden und zu entdecken. Es war ein Vergnügen sie zu beobachten, während wir die neuen Gegenstände aufgebaut und die bereits vorhandenen Dinge repariert haben. Die Bilder sprechen für sich und wir werden uns auch in den nächsten Tagen intensiv mit den Hundekindern befassen. Den Nachmittag haben wir bei Ana M. im Brunishelter verbracht und wurden von einigen vierbeinigen Bewohnern sehr positiv überrascht. Die zurückhaltenden Ruby war die ganze Zeit in unserer Nähe, kam aus eigener Motivation immer wieder vorbei, um sich Streicheleinheiten abzuholen. Gerti die ihre Hinterbeine kaum bewegen konnte als sie zu Ana kam, saust durch den Garten als wäre das ganz normal und selbst die sehr schüchterne Djuli genoss den Kontakt mit uns und stellte sich bei der Fellpflege an. Es macht uns einfach immer wieder glücklich wie sehr die Hunde sich bei Ana wohl fühlen und was mit guter Pflege alles zu erreichen ist. Nachdem wir den mobilen Hundesalon wieder geschlossen hatten, haben wir einen Arbeitsplan für die kommenden Tage erstellt, um so viel wie möglich zu schaffen. Samstag war noch ein Mal Vesna Tag. Ein Glück, dass wir Anita, Sarah und Michael als Unterstützung dabei hatten, denn sie verbrachten ganz viel Qualitätszeit mit den Hunden. Alle Tiere, die an der Leine gehen können wurden zu ausgiebigen Schnupperrunden ausgeführt. Man konnte ihnen allen ansehen, wieviel Freude es ihnen gemacht hat. Anschließend wurden Krallen geschnitten und auch ein wenig Fellpflege gemacht. Dafür hätten wir aber gut und gerne noch einen zusätzlichen Tag brauchen können. Aber zumindest konnten wir Aris Winterwolle auslichten und Kiki und Denis die schlimmsten Filznester entfernen. Anita und Michael haben sich auch noch viel Zeit für die scheuen Hunde genommen und sich einfach mit Leckerlies zu ihnen in den Zwinger gesetzt. Auch in Vesnas Haus haben wir nochmal richtig angepackt und uns dann Zeit genommen mit Vesna die nächsten notwendigen Schritte zu besprechen. Unsere Freundin Sasa war gekommen um uns zu übersetzen und bei wichtigen Themen keine Missverständnisse aufkommen zu lassen. Das Schönste Dankeschön von Vesna kam kurz bevor wir uns verabschieden mussten. Sie sagte uns, dass sie seit Jahren nicht mehr so ruhig war und dass sie diesen Ort sehr liebt und sich wohl und zuhause fühlt. Genau das haben wir uns für sie gewünscht! Die Zeit ist im Flug vergangen und am Ende mussten wir uns von Vesna, Sasa und unseren Freunden verabschieden. Danke Anita, Sarah und Michael für eure Unterstützung! Es war genial euch dabei zu haben 😊 Am frühen Abend dann ging es weiter nach Nis, wo wir den Abend mit Ana K. und Kirsten ausklingen ließen. Ein wenig wie nachhause kommen.
