Ik had jullie beloofd, om foto' s te laten zien van het mooie nieuwe hok, wat Harry heeft gemaakt. Nou ik vind het prachtig geworden jullie ook? Echt zo knap! Hij komt met allerlei balken en planken naar ons toe en binnen een week staat er zo n mooi hok! Nou ja hok, het is echt chique de friemel hoor! Een prachtig verblijf, waar wij s nachts lekker kunnen slapen en overdag als we even willen uitrusten ook fijn kunnen verblijven! Harry heeft het wat hoger gemaakt, zodat we er bij regen kunnen schuilen en ook lekker uit de zon kunnen liggen, als het heel erg warm is. Porthos is a very distinguished 7 year old gentleman who's been waiting so patiently for his chance at a new forever home. He was surrendered for no real fault of his own...his family simply couldn't provide him with what he needs. Porthos is very hard of hearing and was taught basic hand signals. He also knows how to use a doggie door to go outside for potty time. He has a couple of little quirks that need to be considered. One, he does not like closed doors, so a home that will allow him free access to all rooms will make him happy. And two, his grouchy side comes out around cats and male dogs, so he might do best as the only pet. Porthos spent time in a short-term foster home and did well. "Porthos is a sweet, gentle, quirky old man. He is potty trained and will whine at the door when he needs to go out. He rides so well in the car and walks well on a leash. He does react to small animals like squirrels and cats who catch his gaze, so he can be brisk but a gentle tug in the right direction is usually enough to direct him back. Porthos loves soft treats and a welcoming couch. One of his favorites in our home was our water fountain, he loved it!! This unique man requires special care from a patient person who will dedicate time and have patience towards how his past life impacts his “now”. Loud noises startle him, though he is hard of hearing. We know he is a kind soul. He takes treats easily and kindly; he’s missing a bit of teeth so keep this in mind! He loves chips and chicken. He thoroughly enjoys tummy rubs and rolls when he’s excited!! We loved Porthos and wish he got along with cats because he is the BEST boy! He passes gas that could out-do grown men and we were grateful for every minute of it! We hope someone will love this handsome boy for the rest of his days." WHY NOT ME WEDNESDAY There are SO many great dogs here at PCoAR and Lundardi is just one of them! She recently went on an overnight with a volunteer and was a perfect little house guest and rescue ambassador. She’s sweet, affectionate, silly, and energetic! A great walker and car rider, had no accidents in the house, no aggression toward other dogs, cuddled in bed through the entire night, and calmly laid on a blanket greeting visitors at Zeiderelli’s for a few hours during an event there. The family who adopts her will be extremely fortunate to get such an amazing girl! Dardi arrived here as a stray. Sadly, nobody was looking for her, so here she is looking for a second chance. This is 2024 so far, it's up over $650 now. I can't pledge anymore for animals for a bit. This is just on PayPal. I am really sad, I did try to save them all and I can't. How do I even choose with story is sadder, which animal had a worse life and then think to myself if I gave this much more would this dog still be alive right now? 😭 They are putting puppies to sleep, taking them away and selling them and putting the mom to sleep. All the pledges I made already of course I am keeping, its breaking my heart to stop, I want to at least do $5 or $10, it ads up, trust me. Please if your reading this #adoptdontshop this is a consequence of breeders and people not spaying or neutering pets. People getting animals, keeping for a few weeks then returning them, people getting puppies and returning them when they get old. I wish things would change. Any amount of money is worth having a puppy be taken in by a foster and get to live 10 more years, for 15 dollars from me. I stand by it, that is the best use of 15 dollars in the entire world, to know you are helping a dog live instead of being put to sleep. And sometimes we forget all the poor farm animals. They cry, they hurt, they get ripped away from their moms and are kept in conditions where they barely get food or water for the few miserable weeks they are kept alive. MAN CRUSH MONDAY Meet Wimple! This charming boy was rescued with his two brothers, Whimsies & Whoopie, which are also available for adoption. Wimple is the largest of the three and has a silly sweet personality. He is an adorable Shih Tzu mix who is guessed to be somewhere between 8 months to two years old and weighs approximately 14 pounds. This sweet pup was not socialized and was very scared and growly at first, but now he craves attention. Whoopie is the most cuddly and has a very sweet personality. He is an adorable Shih Tzu who is guessed to be somewhere between 8 months to two years old and weighs approximately 12 pounds. This sweet pup was not socialized and was very scared and growly at first, but now he craves attention.
