Meet the boys! 🐮I took a while deciding what should be the last print of my riso rural/ rural riso collection, and then, all of a sudden (with the healthy pressure of a looming deadline) it became obvious: it had to be a print of the boys. I love their gentle faces, their clever eyes and their quiet strength. I often see them munching on the brambles in the fields around the nature reserve (it's their 'job'), and I think they're beautiful. So there it is, my hommage to my ruminant friends! Last year, SOFAM generously gave me and @c.a.hiley a double bursary to create a portfolio of prints relating to our rural life. It is called riso rural / rural riso and it will be launched at our exhibition at @lecomptoirdulivreliege on the 23rd at 5pm (come along!). The 25 portfolios were made to be given to our neighbours in Ferrières to celebrate the opening of @riso_des_bois . But we also editioned all the prints separately on different paper so you can grab copies in person or online if you want to. ~ DUNAJ ~ alebo presnejšie Dom odievania, ako ho postavili v rokoch 1975 až 1985 na vlne postmodernej architektúry. Mladšia generácia ho zažila ako kultúrne centrum. Predtým bol centrom módy v období štátneho socializmu. V apríli nás vo veku 80 rokov opustil jeho architekt Ján M. Bahna. Nová grafika Ondreja Gavaldu pripomína monumentálnu architektúru. Uhol, z ktorého najviac vyniká plasticita fasády, je ešte podporený ručným tieňovaním. Nech to nie je len digitálna kresba. Dom odievania vznikol v roku 1985 ako doplnok k staršiemu objektu z roku 1936 – prvému nákupnému centru v Bratislave. Jednu z ikon nášho funkcionalizmu navrhol architekt Christian Ludwig pre pražskú spoločnosť Brouk a Babka. Až spojením novšieho a staršieho objektu vznikol Obchodný dom Dunaj, ako sme ho poznali ešte donedávna. V súčasnosti prebieha prestavba oboch objektov na iné funkcie.
