This was one of many hikes @dave.strengthandkindness and I enjoyed during our trip to @zionnps last fall. Anytime I’m out hiking, I definitely end up having thoughts such as these… If I was worried about peeing my pants, I probably wouldn’t have done this hike. If I experienced urgency really frequently, I probably wouldn’t have done this hike. If I was struggling with hip, low back, or pelvic pain, I probably wouldn’t have done this hike. If I felt weak or didn’t trust my body’s strength and resilience, I probably wouldn’t have done this hike. If I had prolapse symptoms with normal daily tasks, I probably wouldn’t have done this hike. Pelvic symptoms are no joke. Meet Emily✨ Emily and I worked together virtually for a 3 month training block with the intention of preparing her for another pregnancy by: #1) Creating and supporting a consistent strength training routine that meshed well with her busy schedule as a mom, working full time.⏱️💪🏼 #2) Keep her feeling good and navigate pain, to prepare for another pregnancy, and support her goals to remain active through it.👏🏻 #3) To help her gain awareness and coordination in her core and pelvic floor, to support and kickstart her longer term goal of achieving a VBAC in the future.🤰 Low and behold, Emily ended up finding out she was pregnant DURING our training block, so she ended up doing all of this during her first trimester!❤️ She stayed consistent, got stronger, and gained so much awareness of her core and pelvic floor for this pregnancy to kickstart preparation for her next birth.✨ I’m so proud of the strength and confidence she has gained to support a strong and active pregnancy with baby #2!🥰 Are you a mama looking for more guidance on preparing for pregnancy, exercise + pelvic health during pregnancy, preparing for birth, and returning to ALL the things you love postpartum without fear or pelvic symptoms getting in the way? How to use the Pelvic Floor Squeeze alongs more effectively. The pelvic Floor squeeze alongs have become rather popular. We know that we should be doing something to strengthen our pelvic floor. We are told to do our squeezes every day. But it’s so boooorrriiiing. So my squeeze alongs to music make it so much more fun. BUT….. what if you could do them even more effectively. We are never actually taught HOW to do a pelvic floor squeeze. There is a technique which could be a game changer for you. I am going to teach you this. There are also some other things you could be doing to make these squeezes even more effective. Too much to explain here. So come along and learn more. What is ONE action you can take today that is going to keep you moving toward your goals? ✨ Get the workout in. Drink the water. Eat the protein. Take time for yourself to just relax and breathe (even 5 minutes). Go to bed on time. Put your phone away. Make the appointment. Hire the coach. Call the friend. Book the trip. Have the conversation. Whatever it is, TAKING CONSISTENT ACTION is what leads to the change, results, and outcomes we desire. One of my roles is to support my clients in taking necessary actions consistently overtime that help them overcome pain and pelvic floor symptoms, feel their best, and accomplish their goals.
