Inhalt: Seitdem sich Hannibal (Liam Neeson), Faceman (Bradley Cooper), B.A. (Quinton "Rampage" Jackson) und Murdock (Sharlto Copley) vor einigen Jahren kennen gelernt haben, sind sie das eingeschworene A-Team, das für das US-Militär Spezialaufträge erfüllt. Bei ihrer aktuellen Mission im Irak wurden sie aber reingelegt. Sie konnten zwar die Dollar-Druckplatten zurückholen, aber der fiese Brock Pike (Brian Bloom) hat als Leiter der Truppe eines privaten Sicherheitsdienstes das Unternehmen nur dafür genutzt, um die Platten in seinen Besitz zu bringen. Da es aber so aussieht, als wäre das A-Team für den Schlamassel verantwortlich, werden die Kämpfer in den Knast gesteckt. Aber sie erhalten die Möglichkeit, dem Gefängnis zu entkommen, weil der CIA inzwischen weiß, wo sich die Druckplatten befinden. Wenn Hannibal und seine Leute die wertvolle Fracht den Klauen Brock Pikes entreißen, dann fädelt der CIA einen Ausbruch ein. Fazit: Die Verfilmung der ohne jeden Zweifel tollen Kultserie Das A-Team ist ein guter Actionfilm, der Spaß macht, gut unterhält, gute Action bietet und einen tollen und namenhaften Cast bietet, aber wirklich spannend ist er nicht und das CGI ist auch nicht so toll. So I would say that this is probably only the second time that I’ve watched this movie from start to finish since it came out back in 2009 (the year I graduated high school 😳). I think this movie just helps solidify Zack Snyder as a great filmmaker with his own unique style. There’s a lot to like about this film. The characters were definitely well cast, as I think everyone was the right choice for their part. Having said that, I don’t think this movie would be nearly as good without Jackie Earle Haley as Rorschach. His character was not only the best but his performance was as well. I loved the film-noir style for his character. From the filmmaking side of it, the cinematography of any Zack Snyder film is always top notch. It has a unique style that I just tend to vibe with. Brighter colors always seem to pop, the overall aesthetic always seems to play off comic/graphic novel style that looks great. The fight scenes are also choreographed really well and the way they’re shot truly does feel like you’re watching a comic frame by frame. Where this movie loses me a bit is the inconsistent pacing. If this film cut out about 20-30 minutes worth of fluff, it would be a near-perfect film. Regardless, this film has way more going for it than not. It’s highly entertaining with very few flaws. Deze duurde van 4 juni 1942 tot 7 juni 1942, waarbij de Amerikanen tegen de Japanners vochten met veel minder piloten en soldaten, maar toch wisten te winnen en daarmee een keerpunt in de Tweede Wereldoorlog veroorzaakten. We volgen een aantal personen. Onder anderen admiraal Chester Nimitz die een commandant was van de vloot op de Grote Oceaan. Wade McClusky was een vliegtuigpiloot tijdens de slag en Edwin Layton was een admiraal die deel uitmaakte van een inlichtingsteam met als doel de posities van de Japanners te verraden.
