Introducing our next Equity Committee member 'Mr. Abdul Wassay' Abdul is quite a fun person to talk to, always eager for discussion and never seeming low on social battery (makes sense since he's an Android user). His knowledge of politics, good food, and bantering skills certainly make him a good candidate for pestering. Though, underneath his friendly demeanor hides the more dictatorial side. He organises tournaments with an iron grip and is quite persistent when you're not on deadline sometimes texting at 12AM like a painful reminder that you 1. should've gotten the work done and 2. should be sleeping because why would you be online at 12 to receive his text. Much like a lot of debaters, Abdul practices incredible creativity when it comes to his sleeping schedule. That love of the more artsy thing also extends to his immaculate one-liners such as 'happiness comes from food not relationships' or his rather good taste in Japanese art (anime). He's also a massive fan of tea with Zeera biscuits (NOT Zeera biscuits by themselves though) and will ask 'where's mine' whenever you have food around/send him a picture of any food. He's a remarkable debater, clinching titles such as the U-19 Champion at the Summer Debate Open and reaching finals in esteemed tournaments like FDC 24 and NDO 23, along with semifinals at Debatemania and presemifinals at Shahjiwana 24. He helps and trains kids to become well rounded competent Judge & Debaters with-in the circuit either it be from his Institution, outside of it or internationally. He's a Doctor because he's a miracle worker, from his amazing UADC Judge run to his 4x Nationals Break as a Judge. But Don't let his Judge accolades fool you, he is a monster of a debater with his Championships around his belt to his Union Cup Grand Finals Appearance. he is nothing short of a "Dino" hell, sometimes I even wonder if I should sell my soul to whatever so that I can get his debate skills. Introducing our next English CAP member for UDO II, 'Abdul Wassay' Abdul is quite a fun person to talk to, always eager for discussion and never seeming low on social battery (makes sense since he's an Android user). His knowledge of politics, good food, and bantering skills certainly make him a good candidate for pestering. Though, underneath his friendly demeanor hides the more dictatorial side. He organises tournaments with an iron grip and is quite persistent when you're not on deadline sometimes texting at 12AM like a painful reminder that you 1. should've gotten the work done and 2. should be sleeping because why would you be online at 12 to receive his text. Much like a lot of debaters, Abdul practices incredible creativity when it comes to his sleeping schedule. That love of the more artsy thing also extends to his immaculate one-liners such as 'happiness comes from food not relationships' or his rather good taste in Japanese art (anime). He's also a massive fan of tea with Zeera biscuits (NOT Zeera biscuits by themselves though) and will ask 'where's mine' whenever you have food around/send him a picture of any food. He's a remarkable debater, clinching titles such as the U-19 Champion at the Summer Debate Open and reaching finals in esteemed tournaments like FDC 24 and NDO 23, along with semifinals at Debatemania and presemifinals at Shahjiwana 24.
