I think one of my favorite things about Hekate is Her association with the frog and with nature itself, before She became primarily associated with the dark and the creepy. In Her first emergence in other cultures She was seen as a full spectrum Goddess-the entirety of beautiful life all the way through to the beauty of death and then to rebirth. This is where the symbol of the frog comes into play. They are liminal animals and often symbolize rebirth because of how they appeared to exist as tadpoles and the grown frog at the same time (imagine seeing grown frogs around tadpoles simultaneously when you aren't a scientist 🤯).
