Miss 9 and I have been stuck at home for the past 4 days as she has chicken pox. I hoped a change of scenery and some fresh ocean air would do her some good (she's been hit really hard with it), so I took the kids to the beach today. I made a little nest of pillows and blankets in the back of the car, and we read and played cards while watching a few surfers out on the almost calm water. 📍 Parbola Holiday Park @lovatparks This was our second time visiting a Lovat park but our first visit to Parbola. We love them because they are quieter than other holiday parks and surrounded by nature 🌴 Things we loved about Parbola: ⭐️ the caravans are super clean, beds made up for arrival, fully equipped kitchen including a dishwasher! ⭐️ all caravans are nicely spaced out & have their own outdoor area with a picnic bench - perfect for the 🐶 ⭐️ the parbola team left us some welcome items including tea, coffee, biscuits, fresh apple juice & doggy treats! ⭐️ there’s an outdoor swimming pool, woodland crazy golf & mini nature trail! ⭐️ very close to stunning beaches including St Ives 😍 There was a kids park and dog agility area but these were closed due to work going on. Overall we loved our stay here and look forward to visiting more Lovat Parks soon 🤍

It's no secret that I took the kids to my mum's for a few days 😂 but I thought I'd do a run down of the fun we've had! We were picked up at York and stopped off at the @northyorkshirewaterpark for breakfast and for the kids to go round the lake. It's one of their favourite things to do and they always find the coolest stuff. We saw damselflies, caterpillars, tiger beetles and the kids found a "fossil rock" We then headed into Scarborough properly and had a wander down to Peasholm Park for a walk and of course an ice cream and a brew! Because we always set off early enough to make it a full day, we still have time to go round to the South Bay and have chips on the beach and a quick go on the arcades A gorgeous first day at Nana's 💜

📍 Lydford Gorge, Devon A gorgeous stop on the drive down to Cornwall yesterday. It’s a pretty short but steep walk (& a fair amount of steps) to get to the viewing platform, although no dogs are allowed on it! You can continue the walk up to see the waterfall which I’d love to go back and do! 💚
A weekend with Alpacas at Haute Goat doing the Alpaca Knuffle Shuffle 🐐🦙. Last Saturday, May 11th, the Environmental Education staff took part in NJ Audubon's World Series of Birding, visiting 5 different Morris County Parks with members of the public joining at each site. Overall, we spotted or heard 75 different bird species, including a Blackburnian warbler, a Great egret, Yellow-billed cuckoo, Magnolia warblers and a Barred owl! You know that summer is here once all these events start happening in one day 😮💨😅 Started today with 21st Annual Wayne Scott Strawberry Festival and first kids train ride 🥳 Had a nap on the way to @baysmountainpark where they had activities for kids today! Had a blast watching all the animals, nature and trying delicious Mexican Torta with lemonade made by kids! The other week we went to Jumbles Reservoir. It's the first time we've ever been so I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was really beautiful! There were lots of places for us to go back and adventure through and Thea's favourite part was the cafe at the end with chocolate muffins the size of her head 😂
