Sometimes you have to go just a little bit crazy…. The yuzu liqueur was the inspiration for this collab with @jlcustomgroup - it was too interesting (plus pretty bottle) not to try. But going on the Japanese theme took us down a rabbit hole exploring Japanese gins (who knew they could be so different- we ended up combining @nikkawhiskyusa & @suntory_rokugin ). By then we were craving sushi, so… wasabi & nori showed up. And, once again, I proved my point that saline is a powerful ingredient in cocktails. A lot of trial and error to get this one right, but it’s pretty exciting! Cocktailfars-Julekalender 15/24 Embassie Planen for dagens cocktail var at introducere Gul Chartreuse til siden. Likøren er den ikke helt så kendte og 100 år yngre efterfølger til Grøn Chartreuse. Gul Chartreuse har en lavere alkoholprocent, er en smule sødere og har en mildere urtesmag end den grønne. Min introduktion til Grøn Chartreuse kom med The Last Word. Derfor er det passende, at dagens opskrift er en variation heraf, indeholdende Gul Chartreuse. Desuden erstattes Luxardo Maraschino med Cocchi Americano, og lime med citron. Alt i alt giver dette en mildere version af en Last Word. Embassie er derfor et godt valg, hvis Last Word er lidt for voldsom til dig. Embassie 20ml @nikkawhiskyeu Gin 20ml @chartreuse_uk Gul Chartreuse 20ml @cocchi1891 Cocchi Americano 20ml Citronsaft Lidt Absint Shake de første fire ingredienser med is og dobbeltstrain i et afkølet glas. Garnish med citronskal og spray lidt absint på toppen af cocktailen med en sprayflaske. I min opskrift er der tilføjet et par spray af absint. Uden havde cocktailen lidt en snert af citronsodavand.
