I lördags var jag och besökte Göteborgs nya place to be. @egodistillers Spritbar och Destelleri som dom har i samma lokal. Dom har inte riktigt öppnat Àn, men nÀr allt Àr fÀrdigt kommer det bli sÄ jÀvla fett. Besöker ni Ego kommer ni mötas av en moden bar. Fylld av deras egna destillat, goda och vÀlskapta drinkar samt en Dry Martini-meny. FrÄn baren pÄvÀg emot toaletterna passerar man det stora hjÀrtat. Deras stora snygga kopparpanna. Jag trÀffade Johan, en av grundarna och jag tror det kommer bli otroligt fett nÀr man kan dricka deras destillat samtidigt som man kan blicka ut över pannan i lokalen som andas bra stÀmning och Göteborgshistoria. Kan ju knappast bli mer lokalt Àn sÄ. Att Johan Àr en sÄ hÀrlig lirare och levererar en grym vibb gör det bara mer hemtrevligt, som ett stort vardagsrum. Vi testade ett destillerat blÄbÀrsvin, Ego gin, en Negroni-ish, en av deras drajjor och en GT. In och följ Ego, hÄll koll pÄ nÀr deras Gin som slÀpps pÄ Bolaget den 3 juni men framför allt ta er till Gamlestan i Göteborg nÀr baren öppnar. SjÀlv hoppas jag ha möjlighet att vara dÀr pÄ invigningen och ha min egen flaska i spritkylen. Hur var ginen dÄ? En bra gin med tydlig karaktÀr pÄ enbÀren, nÄgot fruktig med mycket fyllighet. Smaken av alkohol rundas av vÀldigt snyggt. Jag fÄr en asiatisk kÀnsla nÀr jag dricker den. Ginen kommer passa bra i drinkar dÀr man vill ha bra tyck i grejerna med tydlig ginsmak.

With the participation of 19 people (74% women), we adapted a family space and enriched it with local biomass to allow dozens of plants to provide good, clean, and fair food. This event was particularly significant because it recognized the role of women in providing effective solutions to issues like malnutrition and the climate crisis, while also promoting local food security and sovereignty. So itâs Saturday night! And here I am posting Fridays creation tonight instead of yesterday! Why?? Mainly because Iâve had a hell of a week. And by the time Iâd gotten myself home from a friends funeral, I was just done with everything. So I made the drink and drank it but didnât post. It is what it is. So, while I have a quick break at work. I thought Iâd throw it up now. This one is a riff on a Negroni riff (yep, a riff of a riff) that I recently saw by @anatomyofadrink. Their âKingston Negroniâ caught my eye, but of the dozens of bottles of rum I have, I appear not to have a Jamaican!! đ€·đ»ââïž So, as Iâd been gifted this delicious bottle of âIdle Assemblyâ Rum by the guys at @idlespirits which is made in the Harbour Islands, I thought, yep! Letâs do this! So hereâs to Saturday night! To absent friends! And, of course my dear Mum who would have been 80 today đ„ Harbour Island Negroni 30ml @idlespirits Idle Assembly Rum 30ml Sweet Vermouth 30ml @campariofficial In a mixing glass, stir all the ingredients with ice and strain into a nicely chilled rocks glass over a big cube. Express an orange peel over the drink and run it around the rim. Garnish with more orange peel.
