Would you believe it?? This is my first taste of @hendricksgin Flora Adora Gin! What's worse is I've had this bottle 6+ months and only just sampled it. In my defence, it screamed spring/summer, and if you're in the UK, you know we've been late to that particular party. However, it's DELISH! It focuses heavily on the rose aspects of Hendricks gin and I think I prefer this to their original in all honesty! I'm not one who usually likes flavoured gins but this has all the right hints. Holy Enzoni 👼🍇 . Zwei unvergessliche Wochen auf Island mit zahlreichen Wasserfällen, Gletschern, heißen Quellen und Geysiren liegen hinter uns. Und wir konnten unseren Traum, Polarlichter mit eigenen Augen zu sehen, glücklicherweise erfüllen. . Zuhause holte mich schnell die Realität ein. Viele Aufgaben warteten auf der Arbeit darauf, erledigt zu werden. Da bleibt einem nichts anderes übrig als Vollgas zu geben und nun kann ich wieder ganz entspannt einen tollen Gin verkosten und euch davon berichten! . Wie auch der zuletzt vorgestellte Gin wird der Manimal von den @snowodistillers produziert. Die Prämisse aus minimaler Anzahl von Zutaten maximalen Genuss zu erzeugen, fungiert bei diesem Gin als Namensgeber. Lediglich 4 Zutaten werden dafür verwendet. Nachdem ich auch ihn schon auf der Messe probieren durfte, nehmen wir ihn jetzt genauer unter die Lupe. . Nosing . Es wird nicht zu viel versprochen. Ein intensives und vielfältiges Bouquet strömt aus meinem Glas. Die kräftige, leicht süßliche Wacholdernote spricht eindeutig für einen London Dry Gin. Frische Nuancen des Zitronengrases geben dem Manimal Leichtigkeit. Ingwer bringt weitere Zitrusakzente und etwas Schärfe hinzu. Thaibasilikum mischt die Komposition mit exotischen, warm-würzigen Aromen nochmal auf. . Tasting . Nachdem die Nase entzückt ist, wird endlich probiert. Vorab sei die wunderbar ölige Textur des Gins zu erwähnen. Diese Quadriga der Aromen galoppiert über meine Geschmacksrezeptoren. Mächtig, aber stets im Gleichschritt. Alle Zutaten haben ihre ganz eigene Ausprägung, zugleich fügen sie sich sehr gut zusammen und konkurrieren sich nicht. Der Manimal zeigt sich warm, würzig, frisch, mit viel Schärfe, aber gleichzeitig sehr weich am Gaumen. Eine schöne Komplexität, die auch pur Spaß macht! . Vor einiger Zeit habe ich bei @gintensiv einen sehr interessanten Drink entdeckt, den ich mir mit dem Manimal hervorragend vorstellen konnte: den Holy Enzoni. . 6 weiße Trauben 3cl Manimal Gin 3cl grüner Chartreuse 3cl Zitronensaft 3cl Honigsirup . Trauben im Shaker muddeln. Alle weiteren Zutaten mit Eis zugeben und shaken. In einen Tumbler mit frischem Eiswürfel doppelt abseien. Zum Wohle! . [Ad/Werbung]

Oggi e nelle prossime settimane, il 🧞♂️ vi porta e porterà ad Apecchio, un piccolo comune italiano di 1700 abitanti della provincia di Pesaro e Urbino nelle Marche, per parlarvi di una serie di interessanti gin realizzati dalla distilleria Collesi. 🇮🇹 3️⃣ Gli ingredienti naturali di un territorio d’eccezione regalano a questo gin giovane e straordinariamente fresco, la sua originalità. Le bacche di un ginepro d’eccellenza tipico dell’Appennino, le acque cristalline del Monte Nerone e, a dare una nota personale e inconfondibile, l’Amarillo, varietà di luppolo americana dalle particolari qualità aromatiche. Le altre botaniche utilizzate sono scorza di pompelmo e scorza di arancio. Gli ingredienti vengono lasciati in infusione in una base alcolica di grano a pieno grado. L’infuso, diluito con acqua del Monte Nerone, viene poi refrigerato a –15° per almeno 30 ore, filtrato e imbottigliato.
