Fluffy brown falcon (falco berigora) in its native habitat: on a rural power pole overlooking farmland. Any time you're driving out in the regions you see tonnes of birds of prey sitting on poles and wires: particularly kestrels, with only occasional falcons and eagles. I rarely stop for them, but made an exception this time and I'm glad I did. Not only was this a very handsome bird, it was watching a brown songlark further along the wire which I hadn't noticed until I pulled over. Two-for-one!
