While he might have gotten recent attention for his purported “brain worm” and mercury poisoning, he has been causing harm to public health for decades. On top of that, he makes MILLIONS every year doing so. As such, it is hard to take this seriously when these claims of cognitive impacts as a result of these health issues only appeared when he was trying to avoid alimony payments during his second divorce in 2012. RFK Jr. is single-handedly responsible for the deaths of countless children through his anti-vaccine rhetoric. Through his organization, Children’s Health Defense, he foments fear and health anxiety about an array of public health topics. He undermines scientific and technological progress. He propagates harmful conspiracy theories. He hinders the development of substainable agriculture. He is a danger to public health. Microbes nestle in among the starch grains of your sourdough starter. And there can be a remarkable amount of diversity in your sourdough starter – more than 20 different species of yeast and 50 different species of bacteria, all competing for domination. Researcher Daniel Veghte at @theohiostateuniversity's starter goes back generations. "My sourdough starter, affectionately deemed the 'Fosters' starter, was passed down to me by my grandparents, who received it from my grandmother’s college roommate," he writes. "It has followed me throughout my academic career across the country, from undergrad in New Mexico to graduate school in Pennsylvania to postdoctoral work in Washington." Using SEM, a powerful tool that can image the surface of samples at the nanometer scale, Veghte took a very close look at the microbial community in his family’s sourdough starter. SCASM Spring Symposium 2024 - Blaine Mathison, BS, M(ASCP), Scientist III, Institute of Clinical and Experimental Pathology, ARUP Laboratories - "Updates on Malaria Diagnostics and Overcoming Dogmatic Challenges" Microscopy still remains the gold standard of Malaria diagnosis. A drop of blood sample is smeared on a glass slide and examined under the microscope to detect the presence of malaria parasites. Rapid Diagnostic tests are also commonly used, providing quick results without need for a microscope. These tests detect specific malaria antigens in the blood. PCR methods to detect parasitic nucleic acids may be slightly more sensitive than smear microscopy, though it is of limited utility for the diagnosis of acutely ill patients in the standard healthcare setting. In reality, the body builds new vessels with these proteins, called globulins, seals all other cells and tissues with them, regulates blood clotting, and thus wound healing. Paul Ehrlich's misconception that these antidote proteins fit the toxins exactly like a key in a lock is the basis of all immune theories. In reality, these globulins, which are presented as antibodies and used in antibody tests, only come in a few classes and different charge states. Only the size and the state of charge on the one hand and the composition of the liquids on the other hand in which the antibodies are supposed to react with the "bodies" decide whether a reaction will occur or not.
