We hadn't been over to the Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve for a while, so we went to the farmhouse to visit the animals before embarking on our hike- this time, we did the inner trails rather than hike to the waterfall and, after all the rains we had, the inner trails did not disappoint - it almost felt like being in a magical forest! This is the Mercy Road bridge over Los Penasquitos Creek in Scripps Ranch where the A division crew of station 44 in Mira Mesa trained on the Lyfe Pulley System. They also rappelled off the bridge. Last hike of 2023!! 🥳 Another great hike with the BEST hike group!! 🫶 So happy they braved the rain and hiked today. It was pretty muddy & slippery but we managed. The rain stopped not long after we started and the sun came out. This is a great hike for kids btw!! There is also a ranch house Museum you can walk through along with goats, chickens and pigs on the property!
