Jeder Spieler erhält zu beginn ein kleines Spielertableau, ein Rekruten- und ein Silberarmbandplättchen als "Startkapital" sowie zwei Handkarten (Wikinger) in unterschiedlicher Farbe. Pro Zug, hat man die Möglichkeit eine von zwei Aktionen durchzuführen. Entweder man legt eine Wikinger-Handkarte farblich sortiert in seine Besatzungszone um so seine Mannschaft zu stärken oder man geht mit der Mannschaft auf Erkundungfahrt. Legt man eine Handkarte aus, verstärkt man nicht nur seine Crew sondern erhält auch die Belohnungen die auf der Karte abgebildet ist. Siegpunkt, Rekrutenplättchen, Ansehen oder Armband. Lege ich eine Karte in einer Farbe ab, die bereits ausliegt, erhalte ich alle Belohnungen von Karten in dieser Farbe. Über dem Spielbrett liegen Orte aus, die darauf warten erkundet zu werden. Auf den Orten stehen Bedingungen die unsere Crew erfüllen muss um diesen zu bereisen. Beispielsweise zwei Grüne und zwei Violette Wikinger in der Mannschaft. Entscheidet man sich diesen Ort zu bereisen, bezahlt man die besagten Crewmitglieder um die erkundete Landkarte zu erhalten. Diese legen wir dann oberhalb unseres Spielertableaus ab. Auch finden wir unten in der Mitte auf den Orten, drei Säulen mit Symbolen die wir beim Handeln aktivieren können. Einmal pro Spielzug dürfen wir mit unseren Armbändern (max. 3) handeln. Je nachdem wie viele Armbänder man verkauft werden die Säulen aktiviert. Ein Armband 1. Säule, zwei Armbänder 1. und 2. Säule oder drei Bänder für alle Säulen. Hat man ein gewisses Ansehen (kleine Leiste) erreicht, erhält man sogar Siegpunkte pro Runde. Mit diesem Möglichkeiten versuchen wir als erster die 40 Punkte zu erreichen um zu gewinnen. ⚔️🛶⚓️⚔️🛶⚓️ Fazit: Großartiges Spiel. Super Mechanik, schöne Optik. Mit 30 Min. eine gute Spielzeit. Det er ikke noe man gjør bare for utseende sin skyld , eller bar for å ha noe å gjøre. Det gjøres hvis det har blitt en litt for stor sprekk der, og vann kommer til å lekke inn i båten. Had a game day yesterday and got to play three new games! Barcelona The Vale of Eternity Knarr I really enjoyed Barcelona. I love point salad games and this one has so many ways to score points and COMBOS! There is definitely AP because it gets hard to choose where you want to play. The combos make for some very exciting turns! The Vale of Eternity and Knarr were fun lighter games, I liked Knarr more than Vale. Both have engine building mechanics which I enjoy. Both are on BGA so I’m excited to get some games of them going. I also got another play in of Sea Salt Paper. This will probably end up being my most played game this year at the rate I’ve been playing it. Focus Jeux N.34/2024 - Monsieur Cadeaux bel RTL : Ça faisait un petit bout de temps que je voulais vous parler de ce jeu de Vikings d’une redoutable efficacité. Faisons route vers le Nord… KNARR, un jeu superbement édité (comme à chaque fois d’ailleurs) par Bombyx pour 2 à 4 joueurs dès 10 ans pour des parties très tendues de 30 minutes. Mise en place rapide et règles très simples ! Recrutez des vikings pour constituer votre équipage et faites fortune en les envoyant à bord de votre bateau (knarr) découvrir de nouveaux territoires (35 cartes destination vertes et bleues). Vous jouez à tour de rôle et et réalisez 2 étapes : la renommée puis recruter ou explorer. La renommée gagnée (symbole lyre) vous permet d’augmenter vos points de victoire à chaque tour. Avant d’explorer et d’envoyer vos vikings en mission, il faudra les recruter devant vous et ce qui est malin, c’est qu’à chaque fois que vous placez un viking de la même couleur devant vous, vous réactivez tous les bonus de la colonne où vous le placez (bonus en haut des cartes). On les disposent en effet par couleur. Et que dire de ces illustrations de vikings… superbes… et les cartes style tarot de très belle facture comme tout le materiel d’ailleurs dans cette petite boîte. Une fois les vikings assez nombreux, vous pouvez les envoyer en exploration pour récupérer les cartes terres d’échange et terres d’influence que vous poserez alignées au dessus de votre bateau. Une fois par tour, vous pourrez aussi faire du commerce en dépensant des bracelets pour obtenir les gains de vos cartes destination. 1 bracelet active la première colonne, 2 bracelets les deux premières et 3 les 3 colonnes. Les parties sont toujours serrées et donnent un goût de « reviens-y…. » ! Le premier qui dépasse 40 points de victoire remporte la partie et attention au dépassement sur la ligne d’arrivée (du vécu). I learned how to play #knarr on the weekend. Its a good game with a little viking-ish theme, nice artwork and its not too hard to understand the rules. Sadly no player interaction. For me thats a game where i play my turn in like 20 seconds, then scroll through instagram for 3 minutes and make my turn again. Its solo playing with downtime. But its not a bad game, so i would not turn it down if my friends want to play it again, dont get me wrong! You will try optimizing your turn and thats a nice puzzle. Finding the sweet spot between playing/gaining ressources and spending them is essential here and thats not always the easiest choice. However, ripping that apart for the thing you ultimately need (Victory Points!) is the best twist you could pull out of any engine; 🟢 Aesthetics - 'Knarr' is gorgeous! Card quality is top notch; the illustrations (by Carrion Antoine 👏) have a very personal feeling to them with awesome panoramic views across separate cards; little tuck boxes for card storage efficiency grant a well organized, compact box; 🟢 Flow - Turns are quick and snappy! Either you get a card or spend cards. What you activate in the middle of those 2 options is what drives the game - in a very engaging way! 🟢 Gameplay - Deep enough. Good variability with the inclusion of Artifact cards. The race element keeps everybody in check at all times. April 2024 plays The big highlight of the month was probably Kashgar, which I am ready to bring back to the table. It’s an interesting take on deck building games in which you essentially are building three different decks. And I love the idea of having cards you can either keep and get a reward or destroy and get a bigger reward. I also played the physical copy of Knarr a couple times as well as a 2-player card game called Elements. Elements is a strange game that could be likened to a fluctuating game of blackjack with very limited cards. While I own In the Year of the Dragon, I played it online and was disappointed. Ну что... Мы кончили... Мы кончили Страда наконец-то и мой кот выполнил что мечтал прыгнуть с высокой башни с уроном 20d6, получив более 70+ урона, но я выжил... Мой перс стал слишком жадным и злопамятным, поэтому мы чуть не просрали страду и я не вернулся домой... Хочу сказать спасибо патьке. Это длилось 7 месяцев и сокомандники то уходили то приходили и в конце осталось только 3е, кто довел историю до логического конца) Сходил на #bimtime форум, есть некоторые интересные мысли. Отдел на неделе закончил обучение программе... Дальше практика и проверки... Нужно как-то соединить несколько офисов в едином взаимодействии. Приезжала @vikaskladchikova в Ташкент, решил посмотреть) было интересно и прям открыто на разные темы) в отличие от стендапа @orlov_skvz в начале было очень шумно) а к тембру голоса Вики я привык только через 5 минут... В принципе интересно, можно ещё раз сходить) разогрев был странный... Есть плохой момент, что снимать на телефон фото стендаперов дело гиблое... Ееееееее в 222 #квизплизташкент в первом раунде #bts заняли 1-е место... Потом в конце удвоили место и стали 11) Заставил коллег сыграть в #barrage игра достаточно напряжённая, хоть и ходы лёгкие, но взаимодействие иногда нервирует. Из-за неопытности заняло где-то 4 часа. Слишком сильное евро, которое раскрывается за несколько игр в виду сложного микроменеджмента. Сделали unpacking привезенных допов Вовы из дубая #fivetribes . Допы оказались интересными и дополняют разнообразие игры, мне понравилось... Стало больше стратегий и вариантов комбинирования... Не хватало в базовой ограничения передвижения. Единственное приказы как то пока не сыгрались, хотя @chris_aleks7 на них неплохо так поднялась. Я конечно же проиграл. Также unpacking игры #knarr такой спокойный пасьяс, с возможностью подгадить друг другу. Нашел только 3 страты пока, через земли прибыли и венцов, через земли очков (самый стандартный) и через тупое получение очков за счёт команды (хотя мне кажется если ты начинаешь их собирать, ты уменьшаешь вероятность заново их тригерить, поэтому сжигать венцы и шлема периодически нужно, ну и комбинация их. Данную игру потом возможно куплю себе в коллекцию, когда все закончится...

Hey everybody, we've been moving and haven't been able to play games for the past month (I also got real into Star Wars Unlimited, which rules and has taken up alot of my board game energy). But we finally got around to playing a game I've been interested in for a while! Knarr Build up a crew of vikings, getting increasingly more rewards as you go. Spend your crew to explore and expand your trade routes. It's chock full of interesting choices and so many different strategies. We ended up playing it three times and I can't wait to play it some more! Plus the art is great, Stardust agrees. Knarr is a Viking-themed, simple engine-building card game designed by Thomas Dupont and published by Pandasaurus Games. In the game you start with two face-up and three face-down Viking cards, one helmet token ("Recruit") and one bracelet token in your ship. During your turn you can take one of two actions: 1) play a Viking card from your hand, or 2) purchase a card from a face-up row of three "Trading Lands" or three "Lands of Influence". When you play a Viking card into your tableau, you gain the benefit on the top of the card, which will be either a victory point, an influence, a recruit (helmet token) or a bracelet. If the card was placed on top of Viking cards of the same color already in your tableau, you gain the benefits of all the cards beneath it. You can then draw a new Viking card from the market that matches the color of the card you just played, or you can spend a recruit token to take any card from the market. To purchase a card from the destination cards (Trading Lands and Lands of Influence), you can either spend the required number of Viking cards from your tableau, and/or use recruit (helmet) tokens in place of cards. When you purchase a destination card, you gain an immediate benefit from the card, and you can also spend bracelet tokens to gain more benefits. There are three columns on the bottom of each destination card. One bracelet earns the benefits from the first column, 2 bracelets earn the benefits from the middle column, and 3 bracelets earn all three columns. The destination cards stack as your purchase them, and the benefits from them are cumulative. The Reputation track earns you ongoing victory points. Each turn you must decide whether to build your Viking tableau to reap the rewards, or use those same Vikings to purchase destination cards. This creates a nice tension because you always want both. I enjoyed this game a lot. It's very compact, doesn't hog the table, is easy to learn and teach, turns go fast, plays in about 30-40 mins, and has enough tension to keep the game interesting. Took a last minute trip to Truman Lake this Friday and Saturday. The cold front came in and made the fishing pretty tough. It also made for a pretty chilly night in the tent! 🏕️ I packed it up and headed home a day early instead of staying for another cold night. Not too disappointed in the end. Each turn you play a card, adding a new viking to your crew, or you buy a card, exploring a new destination that you can later use for trading. . The first player that reaches 40 points triggers game end, and the one with highest number of points wins. All players play the same number of turns. . While fitting the category of fillers, do not underestimate the need to strategise a bit, or you will not stand a chance. . Nice artwork and essential components. It all fits in a small box, very handy if you want to bring it with you. Beware that sleeves make the box even tighter. . Limited interaction, with a good overview of other players crews and potential intentions. . Knarr von @mmspiele 🎲 2-4 Spieler 🎲 30 min. 🎲 ab 8 Jahren Knarr hat mir echt gut gefallen. Wir versuchen hier eine gute Crew zusammenzustellen und damit auf große Reise zu gehen und einige Expeditionen zu erleben. Am Ende geht es wie bei vielen Spielen darum möglichst viele Punkte zu erzielen. Wer dabei die 40 Punktemarke überschreitet beendet das Spiel. Knarr ist ein tolles, schnell aufgebautes Spiel. Allerdings spielt es sich auf #bga auch sehr gut. A good Saturday of gaming. Started out with 3 games of Mind Mgmt with each of us taking a turn playing the role of Mind Mgmt- I really enjoyed this game. Next up Knarr by @pandasaurus_games , simple, quick, and a lot of fun. Then Tyrants of the Underdark- a good deck builder area majority game, haven’t played this in years but it’s still solid. Knarr from @pandasaurus_games is on the agenda for #FirstImpressionsFriday🎲, a community hashtag started by @kay_plays_games! I first played this game one week ago and I have been actively recruiting people to play against me on BGA ever since! What’s the gist? Your goal is to score the most points by recruiting Vikings onto your ship, sending them to discover new territories, and increasing your reputation along the way. What did I enjoy? - Box organization which includes boxes for each set of cards included in the game. - I really enjoy balancing building a resource/point engine with your Vikings vs locations. The gameplay is great! - The rulebook is clear and easy to follow, making the game fairly easy to learn. - Although not my favorite art style, the art is striking, particularly on the Viking and destination cards, and utilizes both male and female characters. - Plays well at 2 which is always a bonus for us! - There is a variant - artifact cards - I have yet to explore and I’m very much looking forward to it! What could use improvement: - The ships and particularly their corresponding “destiny tokens” are not especially easy to distinguish from one another nor are they eye catching or interesting colors at all, especially since “Knarr” means “ship.” The colors probably fit the theme more, but it’s always a bummer when there is nothing I enjoy visually about the character/faction I am playing as. - It really bothers me that the “silver bracelets” are depicted with a reddish/copper color. They should either be a silver color or just referred to as “bracelets” - This is a tiny nitpick, but it should have come with an additional bag for the helmet and bracelet tokens that were punched out. Would I play this again? 100% - in fact, I have three games going on right now. I really, REALLY enjoy this game. It is a lot of strategy packed into a small box and the limited options keep it from feeling overwhelming. It is one that doesn’t give me brain burn, but one I keep thinking about after the game is over. A huge thank you to @pandasaurus_games for providing this review copy. Knarr by @bombyx_edition has been getting a lot of buzz and it's definitely deserved. It's a very compact game with beautiful artwork and a very nice engine-building system. The card system is great, with ever increasing rewards until the moment where you have to break your own engine in exchange for scoring.
