We also have a basic plot synopsis thanks to several photos from it resurfacing and this is what it had to say "The Banana Splits Adventure Hour." This photo is from a rare TV special, which introduced audiences to NBC's new Saturday Morning line-up in 1969. Jack Wild (from Sid & Marty Krofft's "H.R. Pufnstuf") is also featured, showing the Banana Splits where Living Island is, on the map. This special aired only once." It's also been stated that apparently Witchiepoo was also present in the special aswell but any images of scenes featuring her have yet to resurface. Parodies can often dance between comedic and cruel but these versions are more of a surprise to even be represented. Topp’s Garbage Pail Kids trading cards premiered in 1985, initially planned as a part of Wacky Packages but ending up with their own line. Cards featured two versions- both have the same art but different name play text on each. The blatant poke at then-popular Cabbage Patch Kids meant Topps had an out of court settlement but still allowed them to produce the twisted images. The card popularity trickled off in 1988 but were revived in 2003 and continue to have numerous yearly releases. Basada en un musical del mismo nombre de #LionelBart, el cual a su vez se basa en la novela de #CharlesDickens #OliverTwist. Fue el último filme musical ganador del #PremioÓscar a la mejor película hasta el triunfo de #Chicago 34 años más tarde. «Oliver», una película imprescindible para los amantes de los musicales, tiene una puesta en escena impresionante, las coreografías múltiples son espectaculares y muy originales (varios de los números musicales son para verlos una y otra vez sin descanso, pues gozan de detalles increibles) y las canciones en general son asombrosamente buenas. La película, pese a ser un musical, tiene algunas temáticas secundarias, como el trabajo infantil, la división entre ricos y pobres, la violencia hacia la mujer (y que esta no sea capaz de romper su relación con el agresor) o el destino inevitable de un delincuente (que por mucho que lo intenta siempre acaba haciendo lo mismo). He visto esta película en numerosas ocasiones y todavía me sigue emocionando su historia, continúo disfrutando con cada una de sus canciones. Una historia que narra la vida de un niño huérfano que se ve obligado a unirse a un grupo de rateros. Su personalidad cándida no es para ese mundo sórdido en el que vive, ya que habrá mucha gente que se intente aprovechar de él. Sin embargo , también se encontrará con personas que querrán ayudarle. A primera vista puede resultar un poco extraño ver la historia de Oliver Twist adaptada a musical. No obstante, no distorsiona en ningún momento la esencia de la obra. Es más, cuando uno habla en referencia cinematográfica de este clásico de la literatura inglesa, piensa inevitablemente en esta película.
