Spent the day at the Most Magical Place on Earth! 🏰 I just love Magic Kingdom at night 🩵 We rode some of our favorites, including Mine Train and Haunted Mansion, and John finally got to ride Tron for the first time. We also tried the cheeseburger spring rolls for the first time (good, but not as good as the cheeseburger steam pods at Animal Kingdom, which we will be eating tomorrow). I’ve had an obsession with Dole Whip from the first time I had it. You may be thinking when I was a kid… nope first time I had it was when I went to Disneyland with some best friends I made from my college class! It was everything I could have imagined it to be and more! Pan to DisneyWorld I got the Lava you dole while I believe? The float with red pop rocks, and orange dole whip! It was DELICIOUS. Close second to the original dole whip, which will always have my heart! Tip for all those dole whip lovers who can’t get it on a whim! We live in Alabama, and our local Winn Dixie sells a 4 pack of PINEAPPLE (and strawberry) DOLE WHIP CUPS!!!! As well as Publix I know also sells them (don’t know if all locations do but we have some locations that do sell it). It is a very close and great knock off if you can get to the parks but you’re craving dole whip and want that nostalgia! I highly recommend! I will say they’re small cups, so definitely plan to savor them! And they’re about $8.64 for the 4 pack (not exact on the price and not including tax) but I was willing to pay just about anything to get my hands on them! In the park Dole Whip is definitely my go to treat that I absolutely have to get all the time! The float consists of Orange Dole Whip, orange or strawberry Fanta, topped with syrups & pop rocks for that touch of volcanic explosion! Iiiiiiiiii love it and also you can make up your own dole whip there you can choose so substitute different flavor dole whip or soda depending on what they have available! I was initially disappointed that Howdy's Dari Owl didn’t have pineapple Dole Whip for longer, but when I found out this week’s flavor was orange, I had a stroke of genius and went on a Disney dessert-related mission! It’s been 20 years since I’ve been to Disney World; suffice to say new movies (and in this case, shorts) means new themed treats in the park. I’ve been dying to get back to Disney (recently more for park exclusive Loungefly bags, but also to try the wide array of Dole Whip creations that you just can’t get anywhere else), but today got a small taste! I stopped at Dollar General before heading to the Owl, and picked up (most) of the ingredients to create one of these elusive treats. I’ve been drooling over the I Lava You Float for a couple years, and today I recreated it minus one ingredient! (couldn’t get passion fruit syrup 🤷🏼) Orange Dole Whip with strawberry Fanta, topped with strawberry Pop Rocks! It DID NOT disappoint!! Outstanding!
