Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part Two in concert! 🪄✨🎟️ I cannot describe to you guys how ✨magical✨ this experience was 🥹 I never saw this movie in theatres (I refused to watch it for a few years because if I don’t watch it then it’s not over 🥲) so this was extra special for me. The Kansas City Symphony was absolutely incredible during this performance. ✨Old Noble Collection Catalogs✨ Part 3 I thought it would be fun to keep this little series going! The Original Hermione's Beaded Bag. This was one of my top grails for a while. It is such a beautiful and delicate piece. It is said that each beaded bag was hand made by one woman in India and it is theorized that is the reason why they were discontinued. Noble Collection has since released a mass produced version that is made in China and while both are beautiful, I am partial to the older version. It originally sold for $65. Now they can sell anywhere from $200-$800 depending on the market! Diagon Alley Map. Okay....who has this?? I have only ever seen this in the catalogs!! It is a wood framed map of Diagon Alley and it sold for $55 measuring at 21x10 inches. I have no idea what one would sell for now a-days or if there is even a demand for this. I think it's cool though! Harry Potter's glasses! These round wire framed glasses came in a beautiful wood display box with a glass front and gold foiled letters. Originally selling for $55, the price for these glasses has increased significantly. Up until recently I would say they would sell for anywhere between $800-$1,200 on average and were a bit difficult to come by. Noble Collection recently released a new version of Harry's glasses and I feel like I suddenly saw an influx of the retired version appearing for sale online! Pewter House Mugs. I'm not sure if Noble Collection ever released all four houses but they definitely made Gryffindor and Slytherin! House crest on one side with the Hogwarts crest on the other. Since then, I have gone from a casual Harry Potter collector to a pretty serious collector. During my collecting adventures I discovered that social media is a great way to meet fellow collectors, learn about items and to find rare/unique pieces. Time anxiety... ⌚ ⏰ 🕰️ 😰 😫 😟 Pretty sure it started because of being in SO much trouble if we were even 5 minutes late back home after "playing out"... Then there's THE BAG. Whenever leaving the house, I'm always over prepared. Just in case. My husband calls me Hermione and says I'll pull a lampshade out next! Even a night out. Safety pins (dress straps, gaping necklines, buttons come off..). Plasters (blisters, usually) Rennies (heart burn mints). Mini nail file. Liners and tampons. Hair bobbles (not just one) and hair pins. Tissues (in case there's no toilet roll!) Then of course make-up, mini perfume, phone, bank card, pen. Never room for keys 😅. Don't get me started on the changing bag for the boys. Full change of clothes for each child, right down to vest and socks (in a ziplock bag so there's somewhere to put the wet/dirty stuff). Plastic bag at the bottom and back in case of wet grass etc. Rain cover for the bag. Pocket raincoats. Snack bag. Drinks. Changing mat, wipes and nappies. Sudocrem. Suncream. Little toys and books. Small pouch with everything for me. You get the idea. Hospital bag, overnight bag, HOLIDAY packing 😳🤯 and the preparation for the airport and timings of that. Even the thought of it makes my heart race! Basically I control what I can and prepare for the rest. Whether there's actually a need to or not. Worst case scenario and risk averse. It's probably why I liked my job and caveat emptor (buyer beware), making sure that they know everything and any risks were covered or explained. I actually had to say to another solicitor on more than one occasion, that a piece of paper with building regulations indemnity insurance (where removal of walls, chimneys etc or electrics and the like hadn't been signed off as "safe") wouldn't hold up a wall! Yes it's exhausting to have a mind racing all the time. It's also why I find the weight of leaving the house so hard. My last project for 2021, probably my best work yet.. I've been postponing making this many times cos of my other projects. Also, I want it to be perfect. I brought the Original Noble Collection for £65 I believe from the studio tour when I was 15/16 my Dad wasn't impressed with the purchase but I don't regret on bit! Especially when I see the prices now 😮 I only use it as display and inside photoshoots! As it's very fragile! The next one is a toy version from Tomy I got it for £10 on eBay! It has a hidden pocket and is a favourite of mine! I use it as a daily bag! Lastly the new version of her bag from Noble Collection!
