Ako finalisti sme do Bruselu išli a ako finalisti ideme domov 🤷🏻✨ Ocenenie Natura 2000 award sme síce nevyhrali, ale bolo nám cťou zúčastniť sa tejto prestížnej európskej súťaže a byť medzi 6 nominovanými projektami v našej kategórii. 🏆Vyhral írsky projekt, kde ochranári pomohli zmeniť nastavenie dotácií pre farmárov, aby následne mohli prírode bližšie obhospodarovať územia Natura 2000 a neboli ukrátení. Udeľovanie cien #Natura2000awards bolo zorganizované vrámci európskeho zeleného týždňa #EUgreenWeek, ktorého hlavným motívom je tento rok voda - See water differently. My sa snažíme 😉. Udeľovanie cien otváral Maroš Šefčovič, s ktorým sme dali small talk o význame lužných lesov pre rekreáciu 🙃. Event aj networkingová časť boli veľmi dobre zorganizované, vždy sa oplatí vymeniť si skúsenosti s podobnými organizáciami z EÚ. Najmä v týchto časoch je dobré si pripomenúť, že to čo robíme ako neziskovka je vrámci iných krajín úplne normálne, aj to stojí normálne peniaze a inde skôr štáty neziskovkám ďakujú za dobre odvedenú robotu. Ale čo už. Na pôde EÚ to ešte oceniť vedia 😉.

Los representantes empresariales de tres de las comunidades autónomas más afectadas por la escasez de agua, #ComunitatValenciana, Región de Murcia y Andalucía, han pedido hoy en #Alicante la implantación de políticas públicas que ofrezcan soluciones a la emergencia hídrica que sufren sus regiones y que impacta directamente y de forma negativa sobre su economía y sectores productivos. Así lo han puesto de manifiesto @salva_navarro_pradas, presidente de la #CEV; José María Albarracín, presidente de @croemurcia; y José Cano, vicepresidente de @ceaes_ , durante la jornada sobre emergencia climática y sequía, organizada por la #CEV y enmarcada en la #EUGreenWeek #WaterWiseEU. Del mismo modo, los representantes de las Oficinas de Planificación Hidrológica del Júcar y el Segura; los responsables en materia de agua de las consejerías de Comunitat Valenciana, Región de Murcia y Andalucía y los presidentes de @hosbeconline, @asajaalicante, @avacuconsumo, y la #FVMP han participado en los diferentes paneles que se han desarrollado durante la mañana.

The commitment of members of the European Small Volume Car Manufacturers Alliance (ESCA) to EU Green Week is reflected by their industry-leading sustainability initiatives. @astonmartin recently published their Sustainability Report for the year 2023. Through their ‘Racing.Green.’ strategy, Aston Martin are helping to lead the way in sustainable automotive manufacturing and this recently published report demonstrates the significant progress they are making. For example, in 2023, Aston Martin were able to utilise 100% renewable electricity to power their manufacturing sites, whilst also achieving a 23.3% reduction in CO2 emissions per car manufactured when compared to 2022. The fourth international workshop, "Marine Litter Monitoring, Removal and Circular Economy: Solutions for the Mission Restore Our Ocean and Waters", is held today. Co-organized by @bluemissionmed and MAELSTROM projects the event is part of the #eugreenweek 2024. As in previous years, the event is hosted by @cnr_ismar, the coordinating partner of MAELSTROM, at the Arsenale in Venice within the International Boat Show (@salonenauticovenezia). The event will showcase and demonstrate selected transformative innovative solutions to face #marinelitter and #microplastics #pollution. Another aim of this event is supporting The Mediterranean Sea Basin for the Implementation of the EU Mission Restore Our Ocean And Waters (@missionoceaneu) by fostering an innovation ecosystem and accelerating the implementation of solutions – technological, social, business, and governance – to swiftly advance towards the objectives of protecting and restoring the health of our ocean and waters. National Stakeholders from the Italian BlueMissionMed HUB and European and International key actors will be engaged in a Multistakeholder Mobilisation and Mutual Learning session where they will provide their feedback and input to facilitate the further solutions’ adoption and implementation with the aim of achieving the EU Mission objectives.

Durante 2 dias a EU Green Week decorre na Comissão Europeia subordinada ao tema "Towards a Water Resilient Europe". No 1° dia tivemos três sessões onde foram abordados os desafios, oportunidades e visão para uma Europa mais resiliente relativamente aos recursos hídricos e soluções cooperativas além fronteiras. Em todos os painéis ficou demonstrado que é necessária uma gestão integrada dos recursos hídricos, e não a gestão que tem sido feita até agora pelos Estados-Membros, que todos os outros setores têm que integrar a água como elemento central na sua estratégia e que temos de atuar já.
