As you might be able to tell, we are heading to France! 🥐 Beignet Caramélisé, Fourré Crème Vanille, Glacé au Caramel Fleur de Sel-Caramelized Beignet filled with Vanilla Cream and Glazed with Caramel Fleur de Sel for $6.50! 🤤 Y’all when I saw this is a must get, I am not kidding! It is warm and the creme brûlée top cracks when you take a bite and melts in your mouth! Then you get to the smooth vanilla filling where you can see specks of vanilla seeds! Yesterday we explored Festival of the Arts at Epcot! It was pretty crowded, but lots of fun! I got that beautiful Neopolitan Dessert Trio (and dressed up my shoulder Figment in his artist’s clothes that I made last year 👨🎨) which was as tasty as it is pretty! 😍 The frozen scotch was also delicious, with a sweet finish and a chocolate nail (I guess like a rusty nail) and appeared glittery in the sunlight! I LOVE the “chalk art” decals they put up, and this was my first year finding the geese! 🪿Although they’re not lit up at night, so after the sun set, we didn’t easily find any more. 🧋 Wayne had a black and white boba from the Painted Panda in China and I loved the Oreo “ears” as decoration! I found a plush boba that seemed very similar! 🐼 The BEST thing, however, was the timeless classic and returning favorite: the tomato soup and grilled cheese. I’m glad I had this at the end, when the temperature had cooled down a bit. I wasn’t sure by the look of it, but WOW I really LOVED it again and I wish I had more right now! 🥪🤤 We ended the night with a stop at The Seas and I got to show Wayne that we have our own Turtle Talk (it was one of the rides we could pick a fast pass for at Tokyo Disney 😂)! 🐢 It was a very nice evening, and a part 2 post will follow! #epcotfestivalofthearts #epcot #figment #epcotfestivalfood #grilledcheese #popeats

We tried some Festival of The Holidays food while we were at Epcot on Sunday as we had a few hours before our Candlelight Processional dining package. We tried the Roasted Porchetta from the Char & Chop booth, the Peppermint Pinwheel Cookie (part of the cookie stroll) and the Frozen Caramel Hot Chocolate topped with crushed Twix bars from the Holiday Hearth Desserts booth inside the Odyssey building, the Snickerdoodle Cookie from the Yukon Holiday Kitchen booth in the Canada pavilion (also part of the cookie stroll), and a Black and White Cookie from the L’Chaim! booth (my favorite festival booth and also part of the cookie stroll). We stopped in Germany to pick up two Linzer Cookies to complete our cookie stroll but it was starting to rain so instead of the cookies, I got a photo of wreath I had never noticed there. I also got some photos of the beautiful Christmas tree in the America pavilion as well as a photo of Spaceship Earth and the Epcot Christmas tree at nighttime. One of our favorite things about EPCOT food festivals is that you get to try unique foods that you perhaps have never had the chance to try before. The Hawaii booth just opened on Aug 15 and one of its offerings is SPAM Sushi. These are my favorite quick service meals to share! 🌭 Corn Dog Nuggets from Casey’s Corner (Magic Kingdom)- The ultimate Magic Kingdom meal! They come with fries, and we always order cheese sauce to dip them in! 🧀 Totchos from Woody’s Lunchbox (Hollywood Studios)- Tater tots, chili, cheese, and queso... There's a reason this is a favorite! The portion is huge, so I definitely encourage sharing! 🍔 Cheeseburger Steamed Pods from Satu’li Canteen (Animal Kingdom)- The entree portion comes with 2 pods, chips, and vegetable slaw. To make this even more "shareable," swap out the vegetable slaw for a second portion of chips! It's definitely enough food to share and fill you both up! 🍜 Festival Booths (EPCOT)- There is no way anyone could eat every food during an EPCOT festival, so sharing is the obvious choice here! Yesterday I tried the BRUNCHCOT festival booth right by Test Track. I ordered the avocado toast, cinnamon roll bites and peach Bellini. I think this booth is my all time favorite booth, kicking Honey Bee-stro from its throne! Avocado Toast with marinated toybox tomatoes on toasted ciabatta (Plant-based) (Garden Graze) — $6.00: this is by far the best avocado toast I have ever had. It was full of flavor, toast wasn’t dry by any means and it’s beautiful to look at. The only thing wrong with this was that there wasn’t more! (10/10) Fried Cinnamon Roll Bites with cream cheese frosting and candied bacon — $4.75: If heaven had a food, it would be these cinnamon roll bites. The frosting, the fill, THE BACON! Don’t be like me and make sure you have napkins! 😂 (1000/10) Peach Bellini — $11.00: The peach Bellini is perfectly refreshing. 🌸 flower + garden festival 🌸 We’re here to share our “ham slams” and “ham scams” with you today. What did we think was the best of the fest and what was really not worth it?! We’ll start with the ham slams, the items we would not want you to miss!! 🍋 Violet Lemonade - aka the reason we have been counting down to this festival since last year’s ended. 🍓 Strawberry Shortcake Funnel Cake - we all agreed, without hesitation, this is the item of the festival this year. We will be waiting in the obnoxious line again to get this again!! 🥠 Wontons - honestly nothing too special about these, but they were cream cheese deliciousness that hit the spot! 🪱 Cookie Butter Worms + Dirt - another returning favorite! This is such a cool twist on a classic dish. if you are a cookie butter fan, you will not be disappointed! 🌮 Taco Vampiro - most of Mexico was a scam for us, but this Taco stood out! 🍣 Frushi - unlike Mexico, the whole Japan stand was a slam for us!! The Frushi is an another iconic item that we’ll keep coming back for. 🥐 Croissant au Fromage de Chèvre, Herbes at ail Rôtie - all that to say: bread with warm cheese inside. Yeah, couldn’t get this in our mouths quick enough. Now for the ham scams… 🍍 Pineapple Skewer - big pineapple girls here, however the spice on this caused it to be an automatic scam. 🍤 Shrimp + Grits - shrimp was a little soggy + too spicy for our taste 🌮 Enchilada de Mole Negro - this really didn’t have much taste, and was covered in a spicy sauce. 🍋 Violet Lemonade Ale - we were told this was a fun alcoholic drink if you loved Violet lemonades, but boy was that wrong. while it did have a very floral taste, it gave more perfume vibes and was bitter. 🫓 Arepas - we were looking forward to these, but they were disappointing. They were a little dry, kinda hard, and overall didn’t have much flavor.

This is more mousse-like than popsicle-like but it was absolutely delicious! Seriously, try it! But try it early in the festival. 🎨 I can’t wait to visit the Epcot International Festival of the Arts in just a few short weeks!! This has been the Epcot festival I’ve been dying to go to for years. Culinary arts (food booths!!!), visual arts, performing arts…it sounds right up my alley! I have already made my list of food items that I want to try and I am so excited about all of the artists that will be there. Not to mention, the famous artwork photo ops and paint-by-number mural sound like so much fun! Lots of unique offerings (and merchandise) to choose from. Speaking of merchandise, have you heard about the Figment popcorn bucket that created a 6 hour long line on opening day?? A new {to us} activity completed at Disney! 🌲 The festival of the holidays has always been the one festival I usually spend the least amount of time at. It’s the shortest running festival and December is just a crazy busy month. This year however, we have already visited twice and completed the cookie stroll! Ryan and I enjoyed all the cookies and shared them while watching the holiday storytellers in each country (loved that!) 🌲 While not included in the cookie stroll, I had to give a shout-out to the Spaceship Earth salted caramel cookie as well. That one was ❤️ *chefs kiss* and made for a great photo, of course!

New Brunswick Slider - Hops and Barley Marketplace, Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. The American adventure pavilion has TWO booths in the food and wine festival this year! • The first one, outside the pavilion in its regular area, has all of the festival favorites, including the beef sandwich (which my husband ate faster than I could take a picture of), and the lobster roll. • But Inside the American Adventure Rotunda there’s another booth, and tables in the AC! • All 3 items looked amazing, but I ordered just one this one— the puff pastry tart with mushroom, gruyere and truffle. This dish was so bad… I don’t even remember the whole name… it’s the corned beef dish from the Flavors of Fire booth. The meat was 95% fat, still congealed together, the potatoes were soggy, and the cheese didn’t have much taste either. • • I had really high hopes for this one. And what angers me the most is that i got this around noon on July 15– 1 hour into the first day of the festival. We tried a new festival item yesterday— the sriracha glazed donut! • • Katie doesn’t like donuts (I know, she’s weird), but ALWAYS asks for them. 🤷🏼♀️. However, she loves spicy foods. So when she asked for a donut while BFF and I were getting coffee at the joffrey’s booth, I knew exactly where to go. • • This donut was pretty tasty and we would have finished it if it wasn’t so hot that the whole thing melted within 5 minutes. • • • There’s also a sandwich version of this donut with a fried chicken breast and coleslaw. • • Are you a donut lover? Day 3: Epcot Center During our travels the International Flower and Garden Festival was happening which meant a couple of new additions: -Butterfly House (featuring a hunting Pooh Bear😍) -Butterfly Murals for a great photo Op -Food, Food and more Food! While we did not go into the butterfly house, seeing Pooh Bear hunting butterflies with his net was a GREAT and creative way to get a character interaction. There were 6-7 different butterfly murals to choose from ranging in size and color! They are simply beautiful. ♥️🦋 Currently at EPCOT there is a lot of construction underway up front which makes the normally circular front half a bit more difficult to navigate. They are currently constructing Moana's Journey through Water and The Guardians of the Galaxy indoor roller coaster! There were signs eluding to some construction around Big Hero 6, perhaps a character interaction pavilion and shop?? Not to mention Remy's Ratatouille adventure coming to the France Pavilion! 😍😍 Anytime there is a festival at Epcot, food stands take up the majority of open ground real estate and we certainly ate our way around the world and the festival fare! While I don't have any pictures, here is what we tried: -Grilled Salmon over Risotto -Strawberry Mousse -Honey Marzcapone cheesecake with lots of honey add ons -Grilled Street Corn -Beef tips -Potato Pancakes with house made Applesauce -Frooshi (fruit sushi with sweet rice!) -Rainbow Margarita* (Mexico pavilion) -California Roll" (Japan pavilion) -Fish and Chips* (UK Pavilion from Rose and Crown quick service) -Macaron Lollipop -Chocolate Croissants * (French Patisserie) -Pretzel bun with ham and gruyere -Frozen Lemonade virgin style and mixed with Blackberry moonshine -Shrimp and Crab sushi balls -Deep fried cinnamon roll bites -Carmelized Beignet NO I DID NOT EAT ALL OF THIS MYSELF🤣 This is a combined list of everything we were able to try as part of the festival! Anything marked with an * is an Epcot Staple and can be tried anytime. The festival is running through July 5th. If you are heading to Epcot I highly recommend giving some of these treats a try! 😋😋🥰

Epcot Flower and Garden Festival While America had nothing in the way of tasty bites to offer, they did have a killer cider. I’ll be honest, I drink cider mostly because it’s gf and not because I truly dig it. However, this 3 Daughters Rose was yummy! Not too sweet and it was light. We then ventured into the inside portion of the festival to see was hiding in there. There were some unique items and low to no lines. 💃🏻 I tried the cider flight and it was good. I rather appreciated the tasting portion and I was impressed that the flavors were so prominent. Then I tried the Warm Asparagus, which I believe was the only gf dish in the building. It was great. The sauce was quite pleasant and the asparagus still had snap to it.
