Itโs been about two months since my Instagram & Facebook pages got messed up and I had to reevaluate how I was going about posting on them. Since then, Iโve been using Meta Business to schedule all of my posts for this and our @happilyeverhatter page. Youโve probably noticed that Iโm getting really good at this whole posting daily thing- but everything isnโt always as it seems and Iโve got a lot of mixed feelings about itโฆ ๐ The Pros- I can schedule posts in advance. I donโt have to think about posting daily and stress when I forget to do it, or freak out when I post later in the day than planned, or stop, drop, and post when I do finally remember it. Iโve felt a lot more freedom regarding my pages, and thatโs made it easier to have fun with it. Iโve also been enjoying going through photos and finding things to share. โบ๏ธ The Cons- The posts are written, the photos are selected and then everything is scheduled about a week in advanceโฆ so Iโm not really giving any real time updates anymore. Most of the time this is freeing, but other times I miss the rawness and realness of posting in the moment with my actual, current feelings. ๐ My Conclusion- Overall, itโs been good for me. Iโm enjoying posting on my pages more and it feels like less of a โchoreโ now that I donโt have to keep remembering it daily. โบ๏ธ And I often find myself working on my social media calendar because it feels fun again. โจ But it also feels kind of fake because Iโm posting happy fun things on days when I might actually be feeling absolutely miserable. We are Groot ๐ ๐ฑ My favourite photo from the whole race had to get a spotlight of its own! The experience we had getting this shot was wild and something Iโve never experienced before. Our group had stopped for a picture with Starlord and Gamora (after all, we are distant topiary cousins of Groot) and as we started to leave we saw a media camera who was in that location jump up and run away shouting he had to take a picture. He ran a few yards past us and as we approached he stopped us and asked if we could take a photo for him. He was trying to find a backdrop for us and decided on the topiary of Groot which was super fitting all around. The @disneyphotopass CM did the next part of the race with us. He followed us as we continued the 10k getting us over to the Baby Groot topiary entrance. He said he would stand out of the way as we passed another race photographer snapping shots of runners with the Nova Ship outside the ride so we could get our race photos still and would meet us on the other side with Topiary Groot. He led us to this iconic shot and it was just such a cool and special moment. CMs are the best. Disney Photopass are the best. This was a new core memory for @rundisney.
