Around 4 hours after the surgery my eyes stopped watering & hardly hurt. At my post-op checkup — a mere 18 hours after the procedure — my eyes had minimal discomfort and I tested 20/10 vision. A very special ✨resident spotlight✨ today, introducing our awesome co-chief, Dr. John Efthyvoulidis, aka Dr. E! 📍 Home Town: Rochester Hills, Michigan 🏫 Med school: Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine 🦴 Fun fact: I have an extra bone in my leg from falling off a cliff on a mountain bike. 🩺 I chose family medicine because I love focusing on preventative and community health, with an opportunity to treat both acute and chronic conditions across all age groups. There is never a dull day! 🏥 I chose HFMH Family Medicine because of the program’s emphasis on strong outpatient and community health training, which is backed by a large hospital system with access to a wide variety of resources for my patients. She graduated from medical school and completed her pediatric residency at the University of Toledo Medical Center in Ohio. She enjoys traveling/adventuring, spending time with friends and family, and going to the gym. Helen is friendly and gets along with all hospital staff and colleagues. She is working on research about nutrition. She is well known among the residents for teaching, motivating, and guiding them to learn.
