Do you think Galaxy’s Edge is the best new land that Disney has added recently? . 💫 . I say this is a resounding yes. Let’s break it down. I was skeptical about Pandora when the concept was first announced and how it would fit into DAK. I will admit as gorgeous as Avatar is as a movie I find the narrative derivative and lacking and had low expectations for the land. I am blown away by the beauty and appreciate that they incorporated the overall theme of conservation so seamlessly. Flight of Passage is still the best ride in my opinion because of the visceral experience that it provides and I am biased because it reminds of a part of my past that is gone and I miss. (Don’t come at me about RotR, that is overwhelmingly phenomenal but there is no sense of smell... what can I say, I like fragrance.) Still other than coming into Pandora for my favorite new ride, nothing really triggers me to stay. . . I had extremely high hopes for Toy Story Land. With 3 such fantastic movies to pull from and also such a fun and creative concept, I expected more. I hate the lack of shade and how congested it can feel there. I find the rides enjoyable but nothing more and usually I don’t want to spend a ton of time there. . . Perhaps because Star Wars has always been around in my life, the idea of finally getting a land based on that holds more value than the other two. For sure it has deeper source material to draw from and a larger and more multi-generational fan base, still of the 3 I think it is the most immersive and inviting to wander around and enjoy the ambiance. I will admit there are some limitations to Batuu and I would have loved to see East and West as different but I understand the reasoning of having them the same on both coasts. Anyways, do you agree that Galaxy’s Edge was the best new addition? What are your thoughts? . . I just wanna be one of the droids. 🤖🧡 . . a little @starwars @thedisneybound background: as soon as I saw this headband, I knew I wanted to do a BB-8 bound bc I’m such a sucker for all the cutie droids! however, when it comes to color palette, BB-8 & Poe Dameron have the same colors in different proportions. whatever is a bounder to do?! 🤦🏻♀️ . . while I was doing some summer dress shopping to prepare for the heat, I happened upon this simple dress. ofc my first thought was, stormtrooper! (which I bounded a few posts back), but it worked out perfectly doing double duty! I used the belt that came with my Poe Dameron jumpsuit & the same grey circle bag (perfect for emulating BB’s shape) & the orange sports tape for my bum ankle added another perfect little detail! all in all, I’m so happy with how it turned out & the fact that I was able to keep cool in a summer bound! 😎 . . do you guys like these back stories of #therachelestbounds? for me, I like to remember how things came about bc bounding brings me so much joy.
