Today I managed to confirm that the Disney Dream has had Starlink satellite installed. The photos are of the 12 satellite dishes that have been fitted above the concierge private area on deck 13. I can confirm that the internet is now far more stable and is very quick. Last night the Disney Dream detected a wreck of a yacht which has now been identified as The Moon Dragon which was abandoned by its crew in a storm 150 miles off Wilmington NC. The yacht crew were successfully rescued and the yacht capsized. Disney Cruise 🚢 Day 3 Day 3 we had @disneycruiseline’s famous 🏴☠️Pirate Night🏴☠️ We arrived back to our room to pirate bandanas during the day, got to meet Captain Jack Sparrow, had a pirate themed dinner, and got to watch a pirate show with more fireworks that night! 🎆 I only ended up meeting Spiderman & Captain Jack Sparrow on this trip, because even when arriving early to the character meet & greets, it still took over an hour to get to the front of the line 😳 and those were my two must-meet characters on board! Even with the long wait, it was fun even just watching the characters interact with everyone else during their turns - they truly were amazing actors and made the experience so magical, even just spending a minute with them! Our room also got pixie-dusted not once, but TWICE this day! 🥺 If you don’t know what pixie-dusting is (which I didn’t until just before the cruise!) it’s basically when you bring a bunch of little gifts on board with you to randomly gift to people by leaving outside their rooms - spreading a little bit of magic & pixie dust to your fellow cruise guests! I didn’t find out about the whole pixie-dusting & organised gifting tradition upon Disney Cruises until it was a bit too late, so it really made my day to arrive back to our room twice throughout the day to see that a little anonymous gift had been left on our door 🥰 🌈 #notjustanothersam #DisneyMagicatSea #DisneyCruiselineAuNz #seamlesspost #disneyadult #captainjacksparrow #piratenight #pixiedusting

Disney Cruise 🚢 Day 2 Day 2…aka the first proper day onboard @disneycruiseline‘s the Disney Wonder! ✨ This day was definitely my favourite - not only were we scheduled to dine at Animator’s Palate for dinner that night, but it was also @marvel Heroes Unite night! 😍 I had my very first ever Mickey waffles for breakfast with the amazing view of endless oceans… We spend the day going around to every activity we could squeeze in including General Disney Trivia, crafts, Star Wars Trivia, towel folding, and the Frozen musical which was actually incredible 😱 The quick costume & hair transformations, the use projections and a see through screen so that things could be projected behind be also infront of the actors, the amazing performers themselves…🤩 Even Max was blown away by it and he wasn’t exactly looking forward to the Frozen musical onboard! I GOT TO MEET SPIDERMAN! And I tell you what, I don’t know who they put under that suit, but if you told me that had been Tom Holland under there I 100% would have believed you. I was so awkward and flustered and totally felt like a little kid again 🤭 We then got to watch Loki arrive in the atrium to take over the ship, and not only did ALL of the avengers arrive, but they came out and walked through the crowd talking and taking photos with everyone for ages! It was so cool - I felt like I had just stepped into an Avengers movie 🤩 Dinner at Animator’s Palate was definitely the dining experience I was looking forward to the most! When we sat down we drew a little cartoon version of ourselves which we then got to see come to life in some classic @disneyanimation scenes later in the meal! It was so clever and such a fun experience ✍️ Lastly, we finished the night by heading to the upper decks for the Marvel Heroes Unite show! #throwbackthursday Star Wars Edition ✨ This is a photo taken most recently from my Disney Cruise from Melbourne. My friends and I were so excited that there was a Star Wars meet and greet opportunity onboard the ship. I was in awe in how they setup the queue with what they had, there was backdrops and lighting to make you feel like you were on a different world. It was so fun meeting Rey and Chewbacca, we had a talk about Ahsoka, the dark side of those force and how we did not want to get caught up in that. Overall was so fun, they even had troopers roaming the area. 🚢 DISNEY WONDER WEDNESDAY WITH AMY O ✨ Last week I shared a promotional video released by Disney Cruise Line that my friend and I were featured in. The interview took place after we disembarked and were about to exit the cruise terminal in Melbourne. We were approached by Disney cast members Paul, Corey and Claudia who were so friendly and enthusiastic. They asked us a number of questions about our experience on the cruise and it was so nice to see some of our answers used in the video. After our interview, we were given a Mickey shaped Australian flag pin to keep. I love it so much 🥹 It even has the black Mickey rubber pin back. It feels so special to have been given one of these.

And after the longest 493 day wait…finally boarding the ship almost felt surreal! First announced during the Grand Reveal of the Disney Treasure last year, Jumbeaux’s Sweets is a fanciful new dessert destination set to debut onboard the ship later this year. How does a space go from concept to reality? It’s all in the details! And Jumbeaux’s Sweets, which will draw inspiration from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Academy Award®-winning “Zootopia,” is just one example of how Disney Imagineers are collaborating with Disney Animation to turn beloved Disney stories into real-life experiences at sea onboard the Disney Treasure. From the precise shade of bubblegum pink-striped wallpaper to the vintage-style light fixtures, each décor element inside Jumbeaux’s Sweets was thoughtfully chosen by Imagineers to transport future Disney Cruise Line guests into the colorful world of Zootopia. The venue’s central design feature will be an eye-catching statue of the film’s unlikely crime-solving duo, Officer Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde. The statue-building process began with sketched designs and a collaboration between Imagineers and the Walt Disney Animation team to create a one-of-a-kind digital model of the piece. The precise measurements from the digital model were used to cast the statue in bronze. Finally, the statue was transported to Florida to be painted. Jay Abruzzese can be seen adding the finishing touches to both characters.
