♡⃤SOLAR ECLIPSE/NEW MOON How serendipitous that THE HERMIT card has fallen around this time of year, when everyone is in a state of reflection during this retrograde and superstitions are high regarding the Solar Eclipse. Solar Eclipse is the initiation into a new 6 month cycle… We are shedding our old skin, healing from the past, and putting plans in place for 2024 given the recent astrological new year. “In order to understand the world, one has to turn away from it on occasion.” This act of turning away is not an act of rebelling, but a deepening of our human understanding. An integration that we can allow ourselves to step into. The Hermit marks an internal sanctuary or energy bank that we can turn to when we are in need of wisdom. This is the realm of ideas, inspiration, and aspirations in which we haven’t acted upon yet. Beautiful fruits are born from this card as this is one of our most potent states of regeneration. The act of seeking ourselves. A sort of rebirth akin to the death card, but a far more voluntary introspection. Take what you need from the current transits and take the time away needed to process it. It’s funny bc I booked a therapy session for today to match this specific transit. The card suggests the need for a mentor or guide in which we are in need of clarity, perspective, or someone to share their deeper insights with us during this time. That time of year where we blame absolutely everything on MERCURY 🤓 completely valid… Mercury rules our thought processes and the tactical decisions we make throughout the day… When this planet appears to move backwards in the sky, it causes all kinds of frustrations and disruptions. After being aware of the chaotic nature of a mercury retrograde for so long, I find everything that happens to be hilarious. It’s a great time to practise the art of detachment…. FORREAL. EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED. Don’t take shit personally! Revise, reflect, restore. Many say not to start a new project or job, not to travel, not to argue with people, don’t make impulse decisions, or purchase any new technology or vehicles. Fuck that broooo… Do whatever you want 🤣 Especially during Aries season. Just be mindful and proofread everything and consciously slow your pace. I’ve already experienced many setbacks since April 1st, you just gotta throw your hands up and say LMFAO! Work around it… Be patient… Mercury retrograde also slows our thought process, making communication a little more difficult. As long as you are aware of this you can have compassion for your neighbours that are stuttering a lot or experiencing verbal diarrhea. Its OKAY! Create safe spaces to vent and release tensions… because tensions are HIGH. For better or not so good. 📱Instagram reels and scrolling culture led me to micro-education. New moon in Capricorn 🌑♑️ 11th Jan Ruled by Saturn, Capricorn is supported with structural and responsible energy. This new moon is asking you to slow down, steady your growth, face your shadows, recognise your values integrally and plan the journey with a long term vision. This falls under the 1/11 portal serving as a boost into alignment based action, onto your true path. Set ambitious but realistic intentions on this day. Capricorn can tend to use work as a distraction to address the grief within, and so it is important to alchemise your wounds, and commit to inner renewal. From a tarot perspective, Capricorn is represented by the Devil. The Devil shows us the way we self sabotage - our wounded ways, addictions towards perfectionism, fears, unhealthy thought patterns and even our shadow attachments. He himself is reflecting on his journey - where he’s been, where he is now, and where he is yet to go. Notice how he holds one staff, while the others are behind him - he’s recognized what has helped him get to this point, but now he needs to shed to make space for his journey ahead, and only keep what is needed. What he’s holding on to, is his will - his will to move forward and push on. He’s reminding us to wake up and be even 1% better than the day before in whatever way, shape or form that may be. This card indicates that our reality is morphing itself around our beliefs. Our wishes are well underway, we just need to make space for it to enter our lives. Scarcity? Security being threatened? Technical difficulties? Delays? That would be MERCURY RETROGRADE. The retrograde began December 13th and ends on the 1st day of 2024. Lack of mental clarity can lead to frustration and miscommunications, so make sure to pause, breathe, and think through your responses. Remember our thoughts are rapid firing with very little distinction so be patient. Hm… life update…? Things are equal parts disastrous and humbling. mercury retrograde really sits us tf down and says “LOOK BITCH.” 🫵📸 Expecting the unexpected is always welcome… Lately when something crashes n burns I look at it with awe and wonderment… Like wow - can’t believe this my life 😀🏚️ COOL!!! Rolling with it… Letting things happen really teaches you a lot... I’ve had to practice the art of detachment in the past 3 years. Not that I no longer play active roles in my life, but I no longer let the results bother me. Things happen and stuff. I have harnessed a tremendous amount of trust in myself as a human. Life can also be pretty surreal when you’re unlocking higher states of yourself. Trust in this… You are geared towards certain experiences, perspectives, languages, systems and symbols for a reason… Spirit does not give you anything you cannot handle. HOLD ONTO YOUR BELONGINGS. BACK UP YOUR DEVICES. DOUBLE CHECK EVERYTHING. Mercury retrograde is breaking down our internal systems… This quite literally causes an electric disturbance in our atmosphere bc there is so much pressure in the collective mind. If communication is at a standstill, embrace this. Spirit asks us to pull back every once in a while to ensure that we are not becoming codependent or absorbing the thoughts and feelings of others. Nearing the end of the year is always a potent time… We be in our heads about linear progress but our time will always come back around. That is the nature of the seasons. Recharge!

THE HIEROPHANT (REVERSED) I felt a strong pull to the cards today, so I want to share what we may be experiencing as a collective + anything we may need to focus on. This is a reading for the new moon cycle + the retrograde that has just started at the same time. The Hierophant is the sacred one. He is our guiding light that shows us the way. In the reversed position, this can point to the darker traits of a leader who are stuck in their ways or inflexible with their viewpoints. This can stagnate growth and lead to more frustration. This is the perfect card to represent the current energies we are in right now. Adaptability is key right now. This card asks us to reevaluate what we feel strongly about and welcome room for new perspectives. There is always room for improvement so it is best to avoid thinking we know everything. Being wrong is an opportunity to learn. This card can point to figures in our lives that may be stubborn in their ways and it can feel like we’re getting the short end of the stick. These figures often mirror inflexible parts of ourselves that are also unwilling to negotiate. Sagittarius season allows us to have open conversations and confrontations if necessary. The easygoing nature of Sagittarius pushes all progress along with ease and discards any stagnant energy, so we can rely on this mutable fire season. We first have to allow ourselves to be open to receive and be willing to change. This ultimately benefits the greater good. This card shows up when it is time to transcend something that has been difficult. We are now given the opportunity to let something go without needing to be right. We can then allow The Hierophant to guide us back to our path.

Never fails to motivate me to make more space… so refreshing… We need all the space we can get to invite growth into our new cycle. sometimes this can physically manifest as ridding clothes you’ve outgrown, lowering screen time or clearing space on devices, tackling those daunting tasks that burn holes in your to-do list… 🌑New moon will yeet that shit out the way. Check, check and check! A new moon in the sign of sagittarius will have us checking our morals, expanding past lower education, and feeling esoterically and creatively driven. Perhaps applying elements of automatism and experimentation in our creations. This new moon cycle is also aligned with the mercury retrograde that will be starting tomorrow. Surely, most of us have felt the subtle or not so subtle disruption of flow or technology being a lot slower than usual. This is the perfect time to exercise patience! Luckily sagittarius season makes us very adaptable so any wack shit is easily brushed off.
