With the emergence of Oil Sticks, I am beginning to see many beginner/inexperienced artists confusing Oil Pastels for Oil Sticks. I am also seeing a lot of new interest in Oil Pastels from beginner artists who do not understand the properties of the medium and are selling their oil pastels without the proper protection they require for longevity. Oil Sticks are Oil Paint in stick form. They dry down. Oil Pastels are a completely unique medium from Oil Sticks and NEVER dry down. This makes then prone to smudging if not properly protected under glass. This Oil Pastel drawing on wood panel would not be safe to sell or display until it is under protective glass panel. Anything that would brush against it Will disrupt the Pastels and ruin the drawing. Because of it's odd shape. I will have to cut my own glass and create a unique floating frame so the glass does not rest against it's surface. Behind the work Reflected in its title, ‘Memory of Grandma’s Garden’ This artwork springs from countless summers spent at my grandparents house, where I was captivated by the multitude of bushes in my grandmother’s garden, positioned next to a bench you could sit hours on. As floral blooms emerged, I would quietly observe the bees as they came in and out of the garden. This piece is a homage to those moments.

Sie hat von 2016 bis 2022 an der Akademie für bildende Künste Wien in der Klasse Grafik und druckgrafische Techniken unter der Professur von Veronika Dirnhofer und Christian Schwarzwald studiert. Ihre künstlerische Bildpraxis zeugt von intuitivem Experiment und Formgestaltung. Im Prinzip der Collage geht sie ans Werk und schafft vielschichtige Kompositionen im diversen Spektrum von Figuration und Abstraktion. Gestisch gezogene Linien, gerissene Flächen, Rasterstrukturen, sowie gedruckte florale Motive definieren die Bildmatrix. Das Archiv „Meine private Sammlung ist die künstlerische Basis meiner Arbeit, sozusagen ein dokumentarischer Bestand, auf welchen ich jederzeit aus unterschiedlichen Blickwinkeln herantreten kann. Darin befinden sich beispielsweise Skizzenbücher, selbst produzierte Abfälle, gekaufte und gebrauchte Textilien, Fotografien und all jene Dinge aus meinem Umfeld, die mich dazu bringen, sie länger zu betrachten und ein Gefühl in mir auslösen, mit dem ich arbeiten möchte.“ Das Material „Als Formgeber, als Vorlage, als Unterstützung. Die Thematik des vergänglichen und ‚minderwertigen‘ Materials ist weiterhin präsent. Spezifisch beschäftigt mich hierbei die Aufhebung der Hierarchie von Werkstoffen, denn bezeichne ich etwas weder als wertlos noch als wertvoll, kann das eine unvorhersehbare Dynamik freisetzen.“ Die Collage „Das Collagieren ist eine altbewährte Technik, die in meinem Arbeitsprozess ständig auf die eine oder andere Weise zum Einsatz kommt.
