Finishing off my calories with a protein shake and a skinny crunch, and damn, I just realised I made the shake with water, I was meant to make it with milk. So I guess I'm having milk later 😂 I just wanted to show off my stats for today, because I decided to try and get my steps without having to go on the treadmill. I didn't go outside once today, I didn't go on my treadmill, I just did my workout, I danced between sets, and when my son left for his dad's, I danced for 30 mins. And I hit 11000 steps. It's very hard for me to workout and it's even harder for me to get my steps. I rarely leave the house, I get too stressed because of my ASD, and my anxiety, there's potentially some agoraphobia going on there too, and it makes me both physically and mentally unwell. Getting outside for walks isn't good for everyone FYI trainers that keep telling everyone that. (I know for most people it does help their mental health btw, would just be nice to not be excluded all the time). As for my weight training, these workouts are supposed to take 45 mins, it takes me 90 mins minimum and then most days I fall asleep afterwards. So I just wanted to show this for people the same as me, who can't leave the house, or who's bodies are in constant, chronic pain or fatigue. It's about just doing the best you can. If it takes longer, it's ok. If you have to dance around the house like a maniac to get steps, that's fine. If you have to modify every exercise, that's fine too! I did! Still do modify a lot actually. All I know is that I hate that my body is stopping me having a life by not being able to move properly. I hate the pain. Rest day yesterday so had a spell in the hot tub to relax. But that was yesterday. Back to business this evening as I'm loving the Spin Bike. On my exercise bike, my aim was 20 minutes minimum. This is more work, more challenging and I'm doing at least 35 minutes. I am doing the warm up and the cool down as well as picking my own route on Google maps. I've done holiday places and my birth town with various inclines so I'm watching places I know and feeling challenged . Change... it doesn't just happen overnight but oh did I wish it did. ⏳ It's all about consistency and patience! It's putting trust in yourself and celebrating every step along the way. 📸 Progress photos are such a powerful tool to anyone as they can remind you of how far you've come. It proves how the small steps add up and when we can see the moments of transformation that when we really appreciate the journey. I've taken progress photos for honestly I don't even know how long... much longer than these posted here... it's been one hell of a journey believe me. But being my biggest critic, it's only really comparing photos within the past year that I can see the changes happening. But when I look back at 2, 3, 4 years ago it reveals just how far I have come. 💪 I'd typically look at photos a year apart and say there's no difference there. It's annoying and it's frustrating because you take these photos as a way to prove to yourself what you're doing is working and its not... 😠 I look back at these now comparing 2 years ago to 3 years ago and in my eyes now I can see the change but back then I couldn't. But now within the past 6 months to a year I've noticed I've started to see more changes and when I go back to 4 years ago it just proves to myself I'm doing something right. And the reality is it does take a while, it does take time, it does take patience, it's not like everything you see thrown across social media.
