Imbolc è un momento magico di risveglio della natura. Per migliaia di anni, i nostri antenati hanno osservato gli eventi celesti e i cicli stagionali della Terra con feste e rituali. Onoravano i cicli del sole e della luna, credendo che queste attività avrebbero aiutato ad armonizzare l’attività umana con i cicli delle forze naturali per garantire fertilità, abbondanza e buoni raccolti.
Una delle feste stagionali celebrate dai nostri antenati era appunto Imbolc, conosciuta anche come Candelora o Giorno di Brigida, che cade tra l’1 e il 2 Febbraio. Si tratta di un momento di risveglio della natura nel calendario stagionale celtico, a metà strada tra il solstizio d’inverno e l’equinozio di primavera.

Imbolc is a magical time of nature’s awakening. For thousands of years, our ancestors observed celestial events and the Earth’s seasonal cycles with festivals and rituals. They honoured the cycles of the sun and moon, believing that these activities would help harmonise human activity with the cycles of natural forces to ensure fertility, abundance and good harvests.
One of the seasonal festivals celebrated by our ancestors was Imbolc, also known as Candlemas or Brigid’s Day, which falls between 1 and 2 February. It is a moment of nature’s awakening in the Celtic seasonal calendar, halfway between the winter solstice and the spring equinox.
