Did you know you can ride a pony at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground at the Tri-Circle-D Ranch? Pony rides are offered daily at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground with the last ride of the day 30 minutes prior to close. Riders must be at least 3 years of age, under 80 pounds, no taller than 48 inches and able to hang on by themselves. A parent or guardian must lead the pony at all times. The cost is $8 for one lap and $15 for two. Also if your child is too big for the ponies they do have some bigger horses that they usually let the bigger kids ride. And while you’re there you can visit the other horses that are used for the carriage rides at some of the resorts, Cinderella’s wedding carriage, parades and more in their stalls and maybe even get to see bath time. Our little equestrian visited the @waltdisneyworld Tri-Circle-D Ranch recently and rode a REAL horse for the first time! 🐎 to say she was in awe is an understatement 🤍 I think her favorite moment was when the horse stopped to give itself an itch as seen on the second picture 😆🫶🏼 We highly recommend paying a visit to the stables! Today we ventured over to Tri-Circle D Ranch at Fort Wilderness Campgrounds for a visit. 🐴 💯 a highlight of our trip for me. All of the horses and ponies that “work” at WDW live there. Today we saw: 🐴 Red (my personal favorite ❤️) 🐴 Phil 🐴 Jet 🐴 Samson (I believe he is the Headless Horseman’s horse at all the Boo to You parades at Magic Kingdom) 🐴 Leo They are all so majestic and beautiful! Guests can go visit them at the ranch until 5pm each day! There are also pony rides for the littles and trail rides around the campgrounds! It was such a beautiful, peaceful area that had a very different vibe than the parks areas! As this year draws to a close, we’re thankful for all the adventures we’ve had this year. This is one of our favourite photos from these trips as staying at Fort Wilderness @waltdisneyworld was a Bucketlister for us and the site represents what we love best about our adventures. Simple fun, with family and friends and just seeing where the day takes us. .
