🌸 The biggest surprise at the top of Mt. Misen wasn’t the truly spectacular view of the Seto Inland Sea. It was this sakura tree, welcoming us in splendid full bloom. How lucky we were! The view was simply breathtaking! 🌸🥹🌸 While the holy island of Miyajima - also known as Itsukushima - is a very famous place in Japan, I still had to actively put it on the travel itinerary of two very close friends today. I’m happy to do that of course and I will repeat myself for you as well: ⛰️ If you have not been to Miyajima at least once before, in my very honest opinion, you should 100% go. Yes it is about a 4 hr+ Shinkansen ride from Kyoto but I think you won’t regret it. There’s deer, there’s gorgeous shrines, a gigantic famous tori, beaches - deer on the beach even - a great mountain, fantastic food and so much nature to explore. What’s not to love! 🦌 🌊 ⛩️ Ask any questions you have of course. This has been the 3rd time I went and I’ll be back many more times hopefully. It has been the first time for me to finally get up Mount Misen though - can’t recommend enough! But please start your hike early because there’s no lights after the sun sets and it sets SO quickly! 😱 ❗Hot tips❗ - Stay over night because most tourists don’t. - If you hike up Mt. Misen and have limited time, consider taking the cable cars instead. My legs hurt for days after hiking down one way only 😅The views were amazing though! ALSO 🦌🦌🦌 One thing that actually made me really mad is that I saw a lot of trash, left by very careless individuals. The deer on Miyajima will eat anything they can and they can die from eating this stuff. We don’t want that. Let’s always be conscious about our belongings when visiting this island and if we see trash lying around, let’s consider picking it up, even if it’s not ours. Is Japan on your bucket list? If it isn’t you absolutely need to add it! There wasn’t a single part we didn’t like (except maybe the crowds on a weekend)! Our Tokyo day was one of my favourites of the whole trip. We literally crammed a week’s worth of stuff into one day and were exhausted by the end but what a day it was! Seeing all the iconic sites was so surreal and I must have said “how are we really here” a hundred times that day! Everyone said to us before we went that we would love it and be wanting to book another trip and they were so right, what I would give to be back there right now! I'm actually working on the photos I have took during the morning at the Chureito Pagoda. That day, I've missed the sunrise because a misadventure. I've took the information from Gmaps to go there by bus and i had to make a change. The thing is, during the change, the buses wasn't going at the station I had to go. So, I had to go back to the Kawaguchiko station to take a train. Thankfully the bus driver and he's coworker was really nice and took the time to provide me all the informations needed despite the language barrier. So i arrived on place with a delay of 2 hours but I've been able to capture some gorgeous morning light on Mt Fuji. Je suis actuellement en train de travailler sur les photos que j'ai prises à la Pagode Chureito. Ce jour là, j'ai loupé le levé du soleil à cause d'une mésaventure. En effet, j'avais prévu mon itinéraire via Gmaps et je devais faire un changement. Au moment du changement on m'indique que le bus ne se rend pas à la station où je devais me rendre et j'ai donc dû retourner en gare de Kawaguchiko pour prendre un train. Heureusement, le collègue du chauffeur qui était présent à pris le temps de m'indiquer toutes les informations dont j'avais besoin malgré la barrière de la langue. Onsen: ci si può immergere nelle acque calde (caldissime) negli onsen circondati dai colori autunnali per un'esperienza rilassante e unica💆🏻 8. Molti giardini e parchi giapponesi sono famosi per il loro design paesaggistico e in autunno diventano ancora più belli. Luoghi come Kenroku-en a Kanazawa e Koraku-en a Okayama offrono viste spettacolari. 9. Se si parte nell'autunno inoltrato (il massimo sarebbe con la neve, ma interessante tutto l'anno) merita sicuramente una visita il Parco delle Scimmie di Jigokudani nella provincia di Nagano, conosciute come macachi giapponesi o "scimmie delle nevi" 🐵. Sono famose perché amano crogiolarsi nelle acque calde delle sorgenti termali e passano molto tempo immerse nel più totale ozio. Tutti ciò nella magnifica cornice delle Alpi giapponesi 🏔️.
