Sabbats Festivities; For this collection the fragrances are designed to embody the celebrations and traditions. This collection is 100% essential oils for a perfect connection with nature and it’s changing magic. Folkore; This collection is mainly developed for the monthly candles and is designed in a similar way as Coven. I pick a folklore story or cryptid, make a lot of research and watch videos on the subject to construct a fragrance that will emote this story. I started my pre @scentxplore Fragrance weekend off by hitting up @refineryfragrances located in Nashville, TN, that just opened. I met the owner and know that he'll be seeing a lot of me at his shop. I felt like a kid in a candy shop, getting to smell so many different houses that I hadn't experienced. I got to meet @zernell.gillie and bought his new fragrance House, which is a stellar fruit focused fragrance with oud. It is as bombastic as the house music it represents. I also purchased Blyss from the house of @perfumology, which is a love letter to the owner of the brand, Nir Guy, wife. Nir introduced me to his whole line, but Blyss stopped me in my tracks with its beautiful notes of apple, plum, orange, and Bulgarian Rose, which is so enchanting and a beautiful representation of love. It was wonderful meeting @daythreefragrances and hearing the story behind their fragrances and getting a sneak peak at an upcoming release. I'll definitely be leaving with one of their fragrances, but I gotta pace myself, lol. One of my favourite things about this fantasy world and these many generations that make up our story, is actually something that features only a little on the surface. Here’s a little lore drop: everyone has a particular scent, something that both vampires and wolves can pick up on and distinguish. There are certainly overlaps among people who have no relation, because it would be unrealistic for every single person in this enormous cast to have a completely unique scent profile. That being said, there are certainly some ‘inheritance’ rules when it comes to the scent makeup of a person. One of my favorite things ever is to spot a Generation 1 or Generation 2 scent in a Generation 5 character who is not even a direct descendant of the earlier character, but the grandchild or great-grandchild of a sibling or even a cousin! Another thing that can direct which scent profile a person might have is geography. Certain places on the map have a tendency to produce people with particular tones to their scents, so we have one place that I absolutely adore where people tend to smell of pine, for instance.
