The collection (already discontinued) Parco Palladiano by Bottega Venetta has surprised me with the quality of its proposals, I approached it looking for two compositions that Quentin Bisch had created for this collection and by chance of fate these two that are not his authorship were the first ones I could get. VIII Neroli: I'm really not a big fan of this note, but I think this is the fragrance focused on it that I liked the most. This composition is beautiful, it shows us the clean and neat side of neroli but with an amber background that reminds us of a sunset in summer. X Olive: It is a unique composition, focused mainly on this note and although it has several components, everything is so well integrated that what gives us a 100% fragrance focused on this note and that gives us that feeling of being palpating olive green color of the plant and its fruits with an oily aftertaste. This is the beginning of an Affair that may make me look for all the ones in the collection. Una de las sorpresas olfativas que he tenido la oportunidad de probar, en la cual la casa de perfumeria, nos ofrece y relata perfumes basados en momentos de la historia, y a partir de esa premisa nos construyen un camino para entender sus propuestas. El día de hoy, tengo la oportunidad de compartirles, acerca de Tonnerre, de la casa inglesa de Beaufort London y de su historia olfativa. Tonnerre pertenece a la colección "Come Hell or High Water" que se inspira en la náutica británica. Tonnerre es una palabra francesa que significa "trueno" en español. Este perfume está inspirado en la batalla de Trafalgar, que tuvo lugar el 21 de Octubre de 1805 en Cadiz, España y este perfume lo que nos intenta recrear, es este momento de la batalla. ¿Que aroma nos intenta recrear? Ese momento de la acción enmedio de la batalla, disparos de cañones, el aroma de la pólvora en el aire, el humo, la madera del barco, la barrica donde se guarda el brandy, la sangre de los heridos y el aroma del mar salpicado. Es una composición muy particular, y definitivamente no es para todo el mundo, hay que probarla para intentar revivir ese momento, pero si es bastante compleja en su salida y en el desarrollo. Tiene una duración de más de 6 a 8 horas, y una proyección de 1 hora y media aproximadamente, al menos en clima cálido. Muy pocas atomizaciones es lo recomendable, realmente que es un perfume que es complicado encontrarle una ocasión de uso, más que en los momentos de una barbacoa donde se pueda mezclar con humo. "Vesper Glitz" translates as "evening glamour", and tbh I had no idea that "vesper" was an archaic word for evening before owning this perfume. Vesper Glitz was one of my most worn fragrances in 2023, but in 2024 I don't think I've worn it three times - that's because I love it and don't want to run out of it. Vesper Glitz is a pretty floral fragrance with vanilla, mandarin orange and tonka bean. As most reviews say, it does give Libre vibes, it's like a more elevated version of it, but without the lavender note. I think it's a very easy grab, beautiful, girly, and versatile, that shouldn't be confined to nights out just because of the name.
