For a long time I defined myself as a "Street Unicyclist" and as soon as you put yourself in a box, you start to limit yourself. It's part of your growth as a professional, you double down on what got you there but you always have to try and add tools to the toolbox if you ever want to transcend your label. I had other practises of course but I was always a "Street Unicyclist". Now, Street Unicycling is a huge part of what I do but as Bruce Lee spoke of taking what is useful, discarding what is useless and adding what is uniquely your own, I feel no one single skill defines my work comprehensively. I'm not even gonna try and give myself a new label. Action Sports superstar? Performance polymath? Athletic artist? It's amazing how perspective changes everything. • 7 years ago, I gazed upon this very view, @theshardlondon still nearing completion, preparing for a show in front of Princes Charles for the @businessinthecommunity awards with a talented bunch of performers. "The Bucket Shot" is a fantastic short film by photographer @petermckinnon about his journey to take one photograph, of a beautiful remote location in Canada, after having previous attempts ruined by poor weather. It uses this goal as a way of telling his greater personal journey, how he got into photography and how he made it a profession. It's been a productive weekend in London. First performing for the crowds at @ridelondon then onto the side of my work I enjoy most, in front of the camera with @antbuchet • I've consciously dialled back the number of live events I do, partly due to the amount of effort that goes in, partly due to feeling creatively stunted but I feel very fortunate to have a career that allows me to explore so many different avenues. • Now that you've seen photos from @antbuchet from my live performance and our photo shoot, which do you prefer? First time I worked with @antbuchet was back in 2016. Last time 2019, at my wedding! • I'm thankful to have worked with a pantheon of talented professionals in my career but even luckier to call many of them friends. A huge part of creating something of quality comes down to the people and the chemistry they have. • Listening to the @socialprosguide yesterday, they posed an interesting question; can quality content ever be produced, if likes, engagement and followers are what drive the creation process?
