Deck review of The Wild Unknown Alchemy Deck There’s no deck by any other creator that reminds me of this Wild Unknown Alchemy deck. The closest is Kim Krans’ own Wild Unknown Archetypes deck. One of the newest releases I received from @rockpoolpublishing , is currently undergoing thorough study 🔍 Demons of Goetia and Kabbalistic Angels on the 72 cards of the 'Oracle of Heaven over Hell' deck created by Travis McHenry, which combines both positive and negative meanings, so we can use the cards just like the cards of tarot decks, interpreting both sides of a questioning matter. And just like in tarot, their meanings can give us many profound answers and guidance, from both Angels and Demons, whose nature is not always strictly good or evil. Every matter, just like every coin, has two sides - both are mutually necessary, both are equally important. There can be no light without darkness, and no darkness without light. Each card contains an image of one of the 72 Kabbalistic Angels and, in an inverted position, an image of one of the Goetic Demons, along with their astrological meaning and the sigil evoking them. The images of the Demons we may know from French 'Dictionaire Infernal - Répertoire Universel' by J. Collin de Plancy, which is shown here in the background. Pulled 2 cards from the Seasons of the Witch: Imbolc Oracle for the collective this week – Snowdrops and Coming of Spring ❄️🌸 With the Snowdrops card, we are being urged to stay the course and continue spreading hope for the future. We are living through challenging times, and it’s up to us to stand firm through the chaos. We are built to persevere. That’s why so many of us are here healing old wounds. Healing isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s gut-wrenching and soul testing, but we will prevail. This card says that we are to trust that all will be well. Blessings beyond what we can imagine are on their way if we can hold on. Coming of Spring says we are all preparing for a rebirth. We are coming out of the dark and shedding what no longer serves us. Happy Imbolc! 💙 Pulled 3 cards from the Seasons of the Witch: Imbolc Oracle for the collective this week for Imbolc – Winter besom, Brigid’s doll, and Casserole Winter besom urges us to pay attention to our instincts and to erect boundaries to keep ourselves safe when we detect negative energies or people around us that drain us. It’s a time to pause before moving forward to evaluate whether those around us are truly supportive and are there to cheer us on as we press forward on our path. Proceed with caution and pay attention to any red flags! 🚩 Brigid’s doll says that prosperous and joyous times are ahead. And it can even mean some of us may receive a promotion or a significant pay increase at work. This card is a good sign that fortune will be smiling on us for some time to come with blessings galore. The projects we are starting are likely to have long-term success, and it’s likely we will make soul connections in the next few months. 👯‍♂️ The Casserole card also talks about long-term connections being formed with soul mates and additions to the family such as children or fur babies. It could even symbolize finding your life’s calling or settling into a place that feels like home. This time will bring us much warmth and comfort. It’s the perfect time to work with The Seasons of the Witch: Imbolc Oracle deck. Imbolc is often celebrated on February 1st or 2nd and marks the halfway point between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. And this Imbolc deck that released in Nov. 2023 succeeds in striking a balance between these two very different seasons with a palette of whites, light and dark blues, and browns with touches of yellows and light greens sprinkled throughout to represent that time between those final weeks of winter before we reemerge into the light to welcome spring. ☆☆THOUGHTS ON A DECK☆☆ SEASONS OF THE WITCH: YULE ORACLE Authors - Lorraine Anderson @spiritelement and @iamjulietdiaz Art - @giadarosegoodman Publisher - @rockpoolpublishing Greetings my ducks! 🦆 A while back I promised a review of this deck, and as you can imagine it's had a few outings over the Yuletide Season. I used it along side one other deck for my Year Ahead readings and I have to say, it worked perfectly! Firstly, if you're a fan of shiny things and sprayed edges then you will love this 44-card deck as it has stunning rich green shiny edges that really scream 'festive'. It's one of the little details that I love about this series in general, but green is just a stand out colour for me every time. The overall feeling of this deck was as you might expect for a Yule theme - quiet, understatedly dark yet cheery at the same time, nourishing and probing. Its art evokes an energy of solitude, and so outside of a Yule context I feel it would be ideal as a deck to use for introspective work, and questions about where you can shine a light and what to illuminate. However, it's not without its nudges towards the importance of connections on the exterior of this and how we can show up for and in our relationships. I was never in a hurry to own this part of the series as Yule isn't my season, but I'm happy to say that I misjudged it, and feel it could be a valuable tool in anyone's practise, especially those feeling a little in the deeper depths of their particular journey. The art is by @giadarosegoodman who began these first few decks released in the series, and who clearly has a talent for the subtle balance of light and dark. Obviously, as is standard for @rockpoolpublishing the card stock is good quality and the cards are a nice size, sliding alongside each other nicely when shuffled. So, yeah. 10/10 would recommend! . Oracle Deck Review 🔮 Healing Heart Oracle 🔮 This is a deck I never knew I needed until I received it in a mystery box from @onenessemporium. This is definitely not a deck I would've chosen for myself, I tend to lean away from love related things... says a lot about me 😂. I am so glad this was put in the box, though. I will be using this deck with everyone for the foreseeable. The box I a nice, sturdy clam shell design. It's a bit big, so I will be finding a bag for this deck because I'm definitely going to be carrying it around with me. The guidebook has 87 full colour and illustrated pages. There is an introduction to the deck, its purpose, and how to use them. The spreads included in this guide are lovely and really show off the cards' potential. They dig deep. Each card has two pages, a full colour image, the meaning, and heart healing message. These are written beautifully. They don't hold back but do so in a gentle way. The cards themselves are gorgeous. Beautiful card stock with a soft matte finish, and they shuffle really nicely. Each card has the number, title, and a few words that give you a starting point for interpretation. The images are really lovely and capture the meaning of the cards well, making them really intuitive to use. They are vibrant and detailed and really evocative. Overall, I am so happy these have come my way. We are still in Mercury retrograde until the new year. The story prompt for this card is “a weeping dryad asks you to save her forest from destruction at the hands of orcs”. It’s beautifully simple. Go defeat or drive off the orcs, and the forest dwellers will be thankful and perhaps reward you. But I would have to over-complicate it by turning it into some vast plot, trying to figure out the orcs’ motivations, the political value of the forest, etc. Who says the dryad is the good guy, anyway??? Introducing: The Earth Alchemy Oracle Cards to connect to the wisdom of plants and crystals by Katie-Jane Wright & Nikki Strange The gorgeous art work by @nikkistrangedesign had me buy the second I saw it, but the content from Katie-Jane Wright @andcrystals tells me I'm going to enjoy going deeper with this deck. Very close to standard tarot card size, the matte card stock is quite thick, but I could still sort of riffle shuffle the 50 cards. (No complaint intended, merely clarification) The cards feel good in my hands. And boy are they pretty! The softcover 120 page B&W book has a few card layouts and interesting information on the Colour Rays and "Golden Keys" that are hidden in the deck. But why oh why did y'all not alphabetize the table of contents? To quote from the book's introduction, "I invite you to leave behind what you thought you knew, drop into your heart and take information that sings to it and feels good. Mother Earth is calling and its time to listen. What messages does she have for you?"  As a person who takes time to connect with Mother Nature most mornings, I'm intrigued to add this deck to the pot that is my morning ritual. Introducing: the Healing Not Broken oracle deck by Brittani Zahourek @Healingnotbroken Etsy shop The name of the deck caught my attention, but the content had me buy.  A friend needed this kind of wisdom and support at the time, but luckily he bought his own deck so I could keep this one. A "handmade" self published deck, it has no booklet rather 1 of the 42 cards has info on how to use the deck. (Cant lie. I was disappointed to learn my 42 card deck is really a 40 card deck with 2 info cards) The box is rather flimsy but hey, plenty of lovely self published decks have no box at all. To quote the deck creator, "Cards are thin for easy shuffling. Rounded corners and a gloss finish. 3.5" x 5".... Cards are shipped in recycled packaging and can be reused, so while caring for yourself with these cards we can also give the earth some love as well!" Gotta appreciate that. Some of my favorite cards... "Be the energy you wish to attract" "Do not let the behavior of others destroy your inner peace" "Today I will do something my future self will be proud of" and of course "Please remember that you are healing not broken" Free gift was a sweet little stone and a sample card from Brittani's "Contine to Grow" deck (which also looks appealing)..."Don't rush the process, Babe. The slower the growth, the deeper the roots". I would love to see this deck remade with slightly thicker card stock, a minimum of 44 oracle cards and a better box, while keeping all of its goodness. I pulled this card as “you dropped a bomb on me” played in the background. Judgment and Justice are two separate concepts (and cards). Sometimes we judge harsher than justice would require. This card to asks us to shine a light into the shadowy parts of a situation so we can see everything more clearly. If we can know our motivations on a deep level, we can see if our actions would be right or wrong. Our choices are ultimately our own. We can’t impose them on others. What do you find fulfilling about your environment? I find that if I let my house, truck, locker at work, etc. go for too long I start to feel more stressed and unsettled. If things are put away properly and clean, my mind is more at peace.
