Quando si osserva il mondo solo dal proprio punto di vista, si possono generare dei fraintendimenti che alle volte diventano così radicati da distorcere per sempre la realtà. Uno dei casi più famosi di questa distorsione sono i Chac Mool, che ancora oggi vengono descritti come statue dedicate alle offerte cerimoniali agli dei, o addirittura come contenitori per sacrifici umani. Questa è una interpretazione nata da un errore che i colonizzatori europei fecero, non avendo alcuna conoscenza delle culture mesoamericane. I Chac Mool in realtà sono stati scolpiti per creare una mappa che conservasse gli insegnamenti antichi delle tradizioni misteriche del Messico. Come le teste giganti degli Olmechi in tempi ancora più remoti. Secondo i moderni maestri della tradizione, tra cui Sergio Magana e Cuauhtlocelotl, queste sculture rappresentano i Maestri del Sogno e della percezione. Li vediamo con il capo girato a destra o a sinistra, perchè è così che gli antichi Mexica svolgevano le pratiche di ricapitolazione e di insognazione. Nel loro ombelico (sede del Nagual) è posizionata una superficie riflettente, che poteva essere un recipiente contenente acqua piovana, o uno specchio di ossidiana, attraverso cui questi uomini e donne di conoscenza modificavano la loro percezione e accedevano a realtà non ordinarie. Questo lo si ritrova nel nome stesso della statua, poichè il termine Chac riconduce alla pioggia, e mool è ricondotto ad una creatura felina, poichè nel riflettersi nell'acqua piovana, i veggenti trasformavano il loro riflesso in quello di un animale.... Oggi noi europei che per le ragioni dello Spirito ci immettiamo in questi cammini di conoscenza abbiamo il dovere di conoscere davvero ciò che pratichiamo. Questo non solo per rispetto verso le culture che hanno messo a disposizione la loro conoscenza, ma anche e soprattutto per fare ammenda delle azioni dei nostri antenati, che hanno quasi cancellato questo sapere per sempre. Este relato me fue enviado por un suscriptor que visitó el rancho de su tío, en Arizona, hace unos 10 años. Desde que llegó a la propiedad, comenzaron las cosas raras, pues el tío le dijo que no saliera por las noches de la casa, además de que el chico empezó a soñar con una especie de cabra o ciervo deforme, todas las noches. Uno dei livelli più alti del Nagualismo tradizionale consiste nel diventare il Maestro dello Specchio, colui che integra e domina il Tezcatlipoca Nero nella sua coscienza. Gli Antichi Veggenti scoprirono che applicando delle particolari tecniche percettive, che comprendono respirazioni, elementi naturali e movimenti oculari, fissando delle lastre di ossidiana levigate riuscivano a scorgere altri mondi, altri tempi e soprattutto realizzarono che ciò che credevano di essere non è altro che un'illusione, uno dei tanti possibili riflessi di uno specchio. Attraverso le pratiche con gli Specchi di Ossidiana, gli stregoni compivano numerose imprese, comprese quelle che implicano la lettura del tempo. Con determinate modalità infatti, lo specchio può mostrare il nostro riflesso invecchiato, perchè proveniente dal "futuro". Se chiediamo al nostro "se del futuro" qualcosa, lui ci risponderà se ciò che abbiamo chiesto è effettivamente successo nel suo tempo. Allo stesso modo, possiamo vedere nello Specchio il riflesso di un antenato e chiedere qualcosa sul nostro passato. Ma capirono anche che gli Specchi non sono oggetti da contemplare con superficialità. Forme e dimensioni sono molto importanti, perchè come tutto ciò che esiste, anche loro rispettano la matematica dell'Infinito. Se le forme e le misure degli Specchi non seguono i principi dell'organizzazione della Matematica del Cosmo infatti, è possibile che chi scruta lo specchio arrivi a contemplare delle dimensioni distruttive, illusorie, menzognere, e che al posto di portare quindi consapevolezza, intrappolino il suo Spirito nelle profondità degli inframondi. Went on a mission earlier to look for this amazing Ash tree that I found last June near my dad’s place. What a beauty and such a strong presence in this piece of woodland.. offerings made.. took me a little while to find where it was.. remembered roughly the area, and the way the ground made a slope and the amount of moss on the fallen trees in the vicinity 💚.. I was looking around and couldn’t see it .. I started to sing to call it to reveal itself.. within 30 seconds or so it was right in front of me.. amazing, yet so simple… there - the awesome power of intent. I sat with it for a while once I’d made the offering and sang another few songs, giving thanks for this meeting. It’s amazing, the number of synchronicities that have been occurring here since I arrived.. these are always welcome and reassuring, especially when we’re looking for some clarity in any situation. I didn’t just suddenly decide one day to be a medicine carrier… It was a deep calling, but the reality of it crept up on me after years of denial and trying to run away from myself, until I realised that by not answering my calling I was getting very sick… it was a sickness of the spirit. It became critical…. That’s how crucial it is for me to walk this road.. it’s that simple - If I don’t, my spirit doesn’t like it and I get sick. But it’s far from easy, and I still need all the help I can get. Every day I pray for my family, my community, and the land. And I give thanks for all of the blessings in my life… first and foremost to the miracle that I survived. When I was in Mexico in 2016, a woman in the Anthropology museum asked me about my Tonalomatl (astrological birth chart) .. I told her I was born under the glyph of Malinali (which is the sign of the medicine man/woman) .. she said it’s a path of many deaths.. I agreed.. ☠️ But then flowers 🌸 can begin to blossom. I pray for the wisdom of the ancestors to return and reach each one of us in this most critical time. I pray that each one of us finds that spark again - to reignite it and live in accordance to the natural law… in a symbiotic relationship with the earth and all beings, and that peace is restored between all communities and all nations. Personalmente ho sempre trovato che il Potere nei libri di Carlos trovi il suo apice nei primi tre libri, dove tutto era incentrato sulla relazione con il mondo esterno, le sue forze, i suoi Spiriti e il suo mistero. Mi sono sempre interessato molto meno alle vicende relative al gruppo di apprendisti, alle dinamiche interne al seguito di Carlos una volta che il Nagual aveva lasciato per sempre questo mondo. La chiave degli insegnamenti di don Juan risiede proprio nell' assenza della "tecnica", favorendo l' esperienza diretta e non mediata da alcuna aspettativa. Non si può vivisezionare il Nagualismo, esasperarlo di tecnicismi e di concetti, altrimenti non si lascerà mai una bolla mentale fatta di illusioni e aspettative. Arriva un punto nel Cammino del Guerriero in cui diventa importante se non addirittura fondamentale stabilire una vera relazione con gli Alleati. So bene che questo termine può indicare molte cose, in questo post mi riferirò agli Alleati nella maniera in cui sono intesi dal mio lignaggio. Per noi un Alleato è uno Spirito con cui si stringe una relazione di reciprocità, in cui ogni forza coinvolta contribuisce al sostentamento dell'altra. Gli scambi possono essere di varia natura, alcuni di questi alleati traggono "beneficio" quando noi ricorriamo alle loro azioni, come nel caso dei Naguales che cacciamo nei reami del Sogno della Terra, e che si fondono con il nostro Spirito, unendo indissolubilmente la nostra natura alla loro. Altri Alleati richiedono relazioni diverse, che possono essere intese sotto forma di offerte periodiche che variano a seconda della natura dello Spirito, oppure sotto forma di impegno da parte dello Sciamano, come nel caso di periodi di digiuno ecc. In base alla configurazione del Guerriero, si presenteranno tipi di Alleati compatibili in termini di assetto ed energia. La loro natura è incredibilmente varia, come ad esempio lo Spirito di una pianta, di uno Sciamano del passato, un essere proveniente dalle Stelle, dalle profondità della Terra, o un Nagual che si mostra sotto forma di animale. Proteggeranno il Guerriero durante le escursioni nei reami del Sogno, gli insegneranno cose relative alla loro origine, lo consiglieranno durante sessioni di curanderismo, elimineranno i suoi nemici o lo sosterranno durante periodi difficili. Non si cerca (e si trova) un alleato con leggerezza, poichè dal momento in cui si stringe questa relazione, si accetta di prendersi una enorme responsabilità. Se non si mantiene questa reciprocità infatti, gli alleati abbandoneranno lo Sciamano, che in alcuni casi potrebbe perdere gran parte del suo Potere Personale o addirittura ammalarsi gravemente. A través de una ofrenda y seguido de un trabajo de corte de lazos, ya que en este caso había vínculo emocional con la otra persona. The Jaguar has been coming up a lot in Soul Retrieval/Release sessions, especially in cases of soul thefts , and oftentimes when I am guided to bring up jaguar medicine my beloved clients share their own connections with them. I was guided to share this small excerpt on jaguar medicine from my book, Animal Medicine. The jaguar was the animal that rulers, curanderx, and sorcerers most commonly associated themselves with, likely due to their special night vision and formidable prowess. There are a number of Classic Maya jaguar deities that are identified with the night sun. During the night, the sun deity journeyed through the Underworld in his manifestation as the fearsome jaguar god. Maya deities were often depicted sitting on jaguar thrones and wore jaguar pelts or had jaguar features, such as jaguar ears or feline canines. The Mexica also identified the jaguar with the night and the Underworld and associated it with darkness. It was one of the animals that was associated with eating the sun at solar eclipses. In his guise as a jaguar, Tezcatlipoca, the patron deity of the nahualtin (shapeshifters), was identified as Tepeyollotl, “heart of the mountains. Nonordinary Realm Associations: Underworld Spiritual and Shapeshifting Medicine: power, clairvoyance, courage, & stealth Symbolism Meanings: • Develop a strong sense of self, and acknowledge and embody your talents, skills, and experience. • Be stealthy, strategic, and courageous in pursuing your goals. Realmente me entusiasma este proyecto que desde hace años tenía en mente realizar. Se trata de historias sobre brujería y nahualismo en el lugar donde nací (Estado de Guerrero). Claro que hay distorsión en lo que eran realmente los nahuales en los antiguos pueblos nativos a causa de la imposición cultural de Occidente. Pero es la manera como se entiende hoy estos seres, y es como se me transmitieron en relatos de parte de abuelas, abuelos, tíos, madre y demas pobladores. Seres que pueden transformarse en animales salvajes que pueden proteger o hacer daño. Para realizar éstas pinturas me propuse utilizar de escenario al lugar donde nací y fue hogar de mis abuelos y bisabuelos. Para esto llevo años registrando fotográficamente escenarios esa comunidad. Air, Earth, Fire, Water, … Sun and rain, sun and rain… thunder yesterday ⚡️.. more offerings today 🔥⭕️🐉🌞🦅🌝♥️.. moving with the cycles of life and death, and learning to move with the natural rhythm with as much grace as possible… fully accepting our humanness and sometimes craziness - whatever that means lol 😂.. Eclipse Season - woohoooooo - feels like some universal mirror work is happening en mass atm…. to say the least! 🖤 As I sat under the Yew earlier, I made a big prayer of gratitude for where I find myself now… free of so much of the burdens which I placed upon myself, and the attachment I once I had to some kind of identity… I became as nothing - the void as I fell into that abyss .. that’s when I realised I was free… I can laugh about it all now, but once upon a time - around 25 years ago I realised I was destroying myself, and I wrote this poem to acknowledge the insanity and my own self-induced psychosis: ‘Here I lay on my bed of nails, My scalp torn to ribbons, And my arms impaled! It’s Good Friday Morning, Mary’s in mourning, Her son’s on a cross And I’m insane. The ship of my voyage Rises its sails, Slowly, but surely Like a giant stoned snail…. Over the waves, across the sea, To a little island called destiny. As the anchor’s dropped, I dock my ship, Jump up from my nail bed and bite my lip, Fall into my dingy with my ampules and pins, And row across to the sands, but look at my skin… So grey and borrowed, sick, and thin.. it’s time for a dig, got my works, stick it in.. Here I’ll be for most of today, needle to flesh, On the nod, far away’. Sometimes it’s good to reflect on where we came from, to share our struggles and our triumphs with the community and with the world, to inspire others. Me encanta el diseño de las #CUAHUTEPOCHTLE, Su nombre significa el atolondrador de los árboles, Son espíritus de la naturaleza una clase de #chaneques de bosque: suelen tener formas poco humanas, Y tienen la capacidad de confundir de forma muy extrema a las personas que los ofenden a ellos o a sus entornos sagrados, El daño a la conciencia puede durar días o semanas y provocar accidentes mortales. A veces usan ropa y sombrero y la única forma de diferenciar a los machos de las hembras es la cola roja de hojas que parecen plumas, Si no tienes ojos para ver a través del velo parecerían unos simples arbustos. Mientras que los #HUAYMAAX son #nahuales típicos de Centroamérica y el sur de México, También reciben el nombre de Mona Bruja, Mico Brujo y Bruja Enana. Rezando al revés y con hechizos indígenas se les cae la piel mostrando su cuerpo de mono interior, Mostrando forma y cualidades de mono haciendo las ágiles en los árboles. En diciembre de 2023 subí un episodio bastante interesante, en el cual narré el testimonio que me envió un suscriptor quien afirmaba ser un nahual por herencia de su familia materna. Uno de sus tíos era nahual, y además, protector del pueblo de Zacualpan, en Veracruz. Pero, como este tío fue a5es1nad0, ahora el siguiente en la línea era este suscriptor. Una noche, la familia despertó por que se comenzó a escuchar que su gato estaba peleando con otro animal en el patio. Una delle cose che più spesso vedo accadere in coloro che si immettono nel cammino di conoscenza dei Toltechi è il voler ricercare a tutti i costi "l' effetto Castaneda", cioè il desiderio e l' aspettativa di rivivere l' esperienza di Carlos e replicare le sue imprese mirabolanti. Questo può essere molto controproducente, perché invece di prendere quei testi come stimolo ed ispirazione per la propria ricerca, si farà di tutto per tentare di ripetere l' esperienza di un altro invece di vivere la nostra. I libri di Carlos parlano di potere, mistero e magia, ma quella meravigliosa magia era "sua", di don Juan e del suo seguito. Ognuno di noi deve cercare la "propria" magia senza pretendere di replicare ciò che altri hanno raccontato, altrimenti si vedrà sempre il mondo filtrato dal velo dell' aspettativa, che creerà solo illusioni. Io non ho avuto insegnanti misteriosi e poetici come don Juan, nessuno mi ha ghermito alla fermata di un bus, tantomeno c'è stato qualcuno che "aspettava proprio me".... Invece ho avuto un percorso molto diverso, più normale, e sicuramente meno romantico. Ma questo non toglie nulla alla qualità degli insegnamenti che ho ricevuto e all' unica cosa che conta realmente: la consapevolezza derivata dall' esperienza diretta. Ovviamente questo potrà portarci a vivere delle situazioni che ci ricordano ciò che Castaneda ha raccontato, ma ce ne renderemo conto solo dopo, e non saremo pre-condizionati dalla nostra aspettativa. Non si può praticare, e tantomeno insegnare, il Nagualismo attraverso i racconti di altri, per quanto affascinanti siano. Tlazocamati, Antonio Genovesi.
