My precious boy, why does your journey have to be so hard? Today we had a call from his Neuro to discuss the results of his EEG. To our surprise, his results were worse than last time π’ it really took us by surprise because his seizures have really reduced, but now heβs having bursts of epileptic spasms. The doctor told us not to google it (which of course we did) and it can be pretty serious. However heβs told us not to panic because Miller doesnβt seem to be displaying any adverse reactions to them and itβs not causing a regression so far. For the short term, weβre going to increase his dose of his current meds to the absolute maximum and repeat the EEG in 3 weeks time. If theyβre still there, then weβll have to consider going on steroids but that comes with a bunch of adverse side affects, and then do an overnight EEG which sounds like hell on Earth π₯ Hereβs hoping that perhaps with him being unwell recently maybe heβs just having a bit of abnormal brain activity and it was just a funky test. π€π€π€

Most mornings, it's the same routine.....Moe Szyslak wakes me for his breakfast at an ungodly hour and annoys me until I give in. Some mornings, I ignore his antics and fall back asleep. He eventually gives up and will go lay on his corner of the bed and wait. Any hint of sound or movement is his queue to come and annoy me, and try for breakfast again. SPA DAY 2023 - The day Moe spent with his friends at @nundahvet (Nundah Village Vet Clinic) Yep, it's the time of year for Moe Szyslak to get the short back and sides treatment. All for the greater good! π¬π #noonelikesfurballs Like every other year, it started with a VERY hangry fluffball because his food bowls were removed the night before (pre-sedation prep). Apparently, even though he gave the staff a bit of a hard time today, he was still looked after like a little prince. About 15 years ago I moved to Long Beach.. Living there a few months I quickly noticed everyone had a beach cruiser and a dog.. Soon I had found a cool bike and not too long after is when I found him.. while leaving a sushi restaurant I saw him, the cutest little black maltipoo puppy ever.. wasnβt sure on him at first then after a nights sleep I woke up and drove right to the pet store and he was mine.. He quickly fell into my heart, to the the point I wud find myself dashing home from work just so I can love and play with him.. Thru the years it was so cool watching him grow from a loving little puppy into a loving best friend.. So many ups and downs i went thru in our time and he was there for every moment facing them with me.. Honestly without his presence a lot of challenges I faced in my life might not have been overcome especially the decision to move to Austin.. Countless trips I took him on, so many cool places he saw and many great memories we had together.. I will always cherish the good times we had and the unconditional love he had for me.. Snow's best buddy from when he was at the shelter posted the most beautiful tribute to Hugo and Mimosa. I just have to share it: ‡οΈβ€οΈππ Many of you might remember Snow. He was in danger of being killed at his shelter and was saved by Final Frontier and his amazing foster then adoptive mom, Monica. The story that hasn't been told is that of Hugo and Mimosa, Monica's chihuahua pups that were also rescues. When Snow first arrived at Monica's house and met them, he seemed a bit unsure... leaving a stressful shelter, and being in a new environment with new dogs to meet was alot. Within a few minutes of their meeting, Hugo marched up to Snow, and pee'd on his leg. That definitely broke the tension and thus began one of the most beautiful dog friendships I have ever witnessed. Mimosa like Hugo, was a spitfire, and was also welcoming and set about taking on another brother. Snow and Hugo would play non-stop. Even though he was so much larger, Snow was always very gentle with them both. A few months ago Hugo died, and sadly Mimosa died this morning. Hugo and Mimosa were larger than life, and two of the kindest dogs I have ever met. They took one look at a lost, nervous and stressed out dog named Snow, and opened their hearts to him and showed him as much love as their mom did. They helped with giving him the best gift anyone could ask for, a family. I know that Snow and his family are feeling a huge emptiness and sense of loss tonight. After five and a half years tommy finally today got a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder, dyslexia, hyper mobility, speech and language disorder and then when heβs seven he needs an assessment for attention deficit disorder.
