Summer is coming and you know what that means! 🥵 Tips for staying cool this summer in Orlando, Florida: • Stay hydrated! Every quick service restaurant in Disney and every snack cart in Universal offers a FREE cup of water. Take advantage of this incredible perk! • Bring a portable fan (or five) and charge it nightly! The parks also offer spray bottles with fans and they’re reusable! • Eat and drink frozen treats! Whether a Dole Whip or Mickey Ice Cream, Disney and Universal both have incredible treats to beat the heat! My favorites of choice? The Ice Cream in France and a Frozen Butterbeer in the Wizarding World! • Cooling towels are a great investment! They’re perfect for the parks as well as sports events when you come home. Grab some off Amazon prior to your trip for a cost saving hack! • Take A/C breaks by browsing the shops, riding indoor attractions, and have indoor dining reservations made (by me) during midday when it’s the hottest! • Take a break! Return to your resort for a nap or pool break. Depending on where you stay, some resorts have splash pads! You are able to leave and return to the parks. Beat those midday hours by taking a time out. • Ride the water rides! Slide to the last picture of my kids after Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges! We have never been so soaked after an attraction that wasn’t at the water park! Other water attractions include: 💧Journey of Water in EPCOT 💧Kali River Rapids in Disney’s Animal Kingdom 💧Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opening soon in Magic Kingdom 💧Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls in Islands of Adventure💧Jurassic Park River Adventure in Islands of Adventure 💧Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges in Islands of Adventure • Enjoy the water parks! Both Disney and Universal offer incredibly themed water parks. Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach are on rotation. Typically, Typhoon Lagoon is Disney’s Summer water park. Universal Studios’ Volcano Bay is open year round. It is incredibly beautiful and our favorite water park! What’s your favorite way to beating the heat?!
