📸 @nick_roscoe1 - Wednesday: ⛅️ Warm with occasional sunny intervals - Day High 20°C - Night Low 11°C - Gentle SW’ly breeze - ☀️⬆️ 5:20AM - ☀️⬇️ 8:51PM Good morning everyone! 😎 Another mostly fine and pleasantly warm day ahead. ▪️Wednesday: In many ways, similar weather to yesterday. Whilst there will be a lot of cloud around, the sun will occasionally break and make it feel warm. The best of the sunny intervals will come during the morning as cloud will bubble up and spread out after lunchtime. A gentle breeze will blow from the west and a few spots will reach 20°C. Mostly dry as well, with just the slight risk of a shower later in the afternoon. Highs of 20°C. 🟡☀️ Moderate UV (5). 🟡🤧 Moderate Pollen. 🟡💨 Low air pollution overall; locally moderate levels. ✅👕 A fine day for drying washing! Get them out! ✅ ▪️Wednesday Night: Dry and mild overnight with clear spells. Winds will be light and temperatures will remain in double figures. Lows of 11°C. ▪️Outlook: Warm again tomorrow with hazy sunshine more plentiful compared to recent days. Temperatures will climb higher on Friday and into the weekend, and there will be a mixture of patchy cloudy and sunny spells to enjoy. However, there will be the risk of isolated heavy showers/thunderstorms breaking out, this more the case on Sunday. Have a lovely Wednesday everyone! Hopefully, the sun will have good success at breaking through the cloud today. It is nice to feel some warmth and for it to be dry as well. 📸 Sunset at Pennington Flash in Leigh earlier this week. Lots of dry and pleasantly warm weather this week. ▪️Tuesday: A day consisting of large amounts of cloud cover which will occasionally let through some bright/hazy sunny spells, more so during the afternoon. Most places will stay dry with just the odd shower sparking off later in the day. Feeling quite warm in light winds with a maximum temperature of 18°C. 🟡☀️ Moderate UV (4). 🟡🤧 Moderate Pollen. 🟡💨 Low air pollution overall; locally moderate. ✅👕 Good clothes drying weather despite light winds. ▪️Tuesday Night: A dry night will follow with clear spells appearing between variable amounts of cloud. Winds will remain light and it will be mild with a temperature low of 10°C. ▪️Wednesday: ⛅️ Feeling warm on Wednesday despite a lot of high cloud which will make for hazy spells of sunshine. Risk of a few showers during the afternoon and evening, but dry for most. Highs of 21°C. ▪️Thursday: ⛅️Warm again on Thursday with spells of sunshine. Cloud will bubble up and spread out a bit around midday but should burn back off. Highs of 21°C. ▪️Friday: 🌤️ Dry and warm on Friday with plenty of sunny spells accompanied by light winds. Highs of 22°C. ▪️Weekend: 🌤️ A continuation of the went weather at weekend with plenty of sunshine to enjoy. Possible breakdown later on Sunday, but uncertainty is high regarding that at this time frame. Have a great day everyone! It wouldn’t be a bank holiday Monday without the risk of seeing some rain, but fear not, there will be periods of dry and bright weather too. Here is the latest weather forecast and outlook for Manchester. ▪️Monday: Dry throughout this morning with occasional sunny spells which will be hazy due to large amounts of high cloud. Continuing on with hazy sunny spells into the afternoon, but cloud will quickly bubble up and increase, and there will the increasing risk of catching a heavy shower. These showers will be slow-moving given that winds will be and some may turn thundery. Temperatures will peak at a warm high of 19°C. 🟠☀️ HIGH UV (6). 🟡🤧 Moderate Pollen. 🟡💨 Moderate air pollution. ✅👕 Good drying weather until the afternoon brings that shower risk. ▪️Monday Night: Most showers will die out after sunset to leave a mild night with variable cloud cover. Light winds. Highs of 17°C. ▪️Wednesday: ⛅️ Dry and warm with hazy sunny spells and light winds. Highs of 20°C. ▪️Thursday: ⛅️ Another dry day with sunny spells (these probably hazy) and light winds. Highs of 21°C. ▪️Friday: ☁️ Muggy and warm, but the cloud will be thicker compared to previous days to bring a risk of patchy light rain. Highs of 21°C. ▪️Weekend: ⛅️ Remaining warm and mostly dry with bright or sunny spells. Have a nice bank holiday Monday everyone! We’ve had a pretty decent weekend overall. 📸 @monicasphotographs - Sunday: ⛅️ Warm with sunny spells; odd shower PM - Day high 19°C - Night low 8°C - Light SSW’ly winds - ☀️⬆️ 5:25AM - ☀️⬇️ 8:46PM Good morning everyone! Drier, warmer and sunnier! A much better offering today! ▪️Sunday: Dry this morning with plenty of hazy sunshine accompanied by light winds. Cloud will bubble up during the afternoon and this will lead to the development of a few isolated showers, although the majority of places will stay dry. Despite the increase in cloud during the afternoon, there will still be occasional spells of sunshine to enjoy and it will feel warm as temperatures climb up into the high teens. Highs of 19°C. 🟠☀️ HIGH UV (6). 🟡🤧 Moderate Pollen. 🟢💨 Low air pollution. ✅👕 A great day for drying clothes despite the slight shower risk. ▪️Sunday Night: Mild tonight with patchy clear skies and light winds. Temperatures will hold up in double figures for most with the lowest temperatures coming in rural areas. Lows of 8°C. ▪️Outlook: A similar day on Monday, albeit with a higher risk of showers breaking out during the afternoon. Turning increasing settled (thanks to high pressure) as the week progresses and despite some stubborn cloud at times, the strong May sun will burn off the cloud enough to allow for at least some occasional sunny spells to come through. Feeling warm as well, with temperatures creeping up into the high teens and potentially the low twenties if the sun wins out more widely. Full outlook tomorrow. Have a nice Sunday everyone! 📸 @therapy.up.north - Saturday: ☁️ Cloudy & damp - Day high 13°C - Night low 8°C - Gentle SSW’ly breeze - ☀️⬆️ 5:10AM - ☀️⬇️ 6:13PM Good morning everyone! Similar weather to yesterday before skies brighten for Sunday. Here is the latest weekend forecast for Manchester. ▪️Saturday daytime : Murky throughout large parts of today with localised drizzle and intermittent light rain. Towards evening, a few bright spells should develop in the south and any of that rain will fizzle out. Feeling cool given the dull weather with temperatures limited to a high of 13°C. 🟢🤧 Low Pollen. 🟢☀️ Low UV (2). 🟢💨 Low air pollution. ❌👕 Not the best of drying days, given the dampness and cloud. Better tomorrow. ▪️Saturday night: Cloud will become increasingly broken as the night progresses and this will allow temperatures to slip down to single figures. Winds will be light and all areas will be dry. Lows of 8°C. ▪️Sunday: 🌦️ Much brighter on Sunday, with a mix of patchy cloud and sunny spells along with light winds. Convection born showers will pose a threat after lunchtime, although they should be scattered. Feeling warm. Highs of 18°C. ▪️Monday and next week: 🌦️ ➡️⛅️ More warm sunny spells on Monday morning but showers will again develop later. Becoming much more settled and dry after Monday with warm sunshine coming through on most days, once patchy cloud burns off. 📸 @jobo_photos - Friday: 🌧️ Mild & cloudy with showers mainly PM - Day high 15°C - Night low 11°C - Light WNW’ly winds - ☀️⬆️ 5:29AM - ☀️⬇️ 8:43PM Good morning everyone! We’ve done well this week as the weather finally gave us some lovely sunshine and warm temperatures. I wish I could say today will bring us more of the same but sadly it won’t be, although the rest of the weekend won’t be too bad overall. ▪️Friday: Mostly dry but cloudy to start this morning with light winds. Whilst there will be the odd shower and some drizzle locally, much of the morning will be dry, mild and calm. The shower risk will increase into and during the afternoon and skies will remain cloudy. Rain will develop more widely towards evening to give a wet end to the day, especially in the East. Temperatures will be cooler than of late, peaking at a maximum of 15°C. Winds will be light throughout the day. 🟢🤧 Low Pollen. 🟢☀️ Low UV (2). 🟢💨 Low air pollution. ❌👕 Light winds and the risk of rain make for a poor day for drying clothes. ▪️Friday Night: Damp and dreary tonight with further rain at times, this turning lighter and more patchy as the night progresses. Low cloud and mist will affect hillier areas. Winds will stay light with a minimum temperature of 11°C. ▪️Saturday: 🌧️ ➡️ ⛅️ Much better weather tomorrow. Despite a damp start with overcast skies and patchy rain, conditions will gradually turn drier through the morning. Sunny spells will eventually develop from the south and it should feel pleasant as winds will be gentle. Highs of 16°C. ▪️Sunday: 🌦️ A muggy feeling day on Sunday. Whilst there will be some warm sunny spells here and there, cloud will bubble up and there will be the risk of heavy showers breaking out, especially later in the afternoon. Light winds once again. Highs of 17°C. ▪️Monday: 🌦️ Unsettled on Monday, as is tradition on a bank. Highs of 17°C. The final day of April will bring us some welcome warmer air and the sun will shine at times as well. ▪️Tuesday: Starting cloudy for most with a few showers in the west, these soon clearing. Hazy sunshine will come through as the morning progresses before the cloud breaks up to allow for some bluer sky and warm sunny spells during the afternoon. Like yesterday, it will be windy and gusts will exceed 35mph at times. The wind will pump up warmer air and air temperatures will climb as high as 19°C locally, although it will feel a few degrees cooler than this away from shelter. 🟠🤧 HIGH Pollen. 🟡☀️ Moderate UV (max 5). 🟢💨 Low air pollution (source: DEFRA. ✅👕 A great day for drying as long as you have strong pegs! 😬 ▪️Tuesday Night: Hazy/cloudy in the west prior to sunset, then partly cloudy overnight. A day of transition as we welcome in a warmer air mass for the week ahead, but it will be windy and wet at times during today. Here is the outlook weather outlook for Manchester. ▪️Monday: Starting mixed this morning with a scattering of showers which will soon die out. There will then be plenty of dry weather and the occasional bright spell during the remainder of the morning, although winds will gradually strengthen. Unfortunately, showery rain will begin to move in from the west during the afternoon, this holding off for the longest in the east. Winds will gust up to 35mph during the afternoon, but this will pump in milder air and temperatures will reach up to 14°C. Still feel chilly though, given the wind. Staying wet during the evening. 🟡☀️ Moderate UV (max 5). 🟡🤧 Moderate Pollen. 🟢💨 Low air pollution (source: DEFRA) ✅👕 Windy weather will make for good drying conditions at times. ▪️Monday Night: Outbreaks of rain will continue for a time after nightfall before drier conditions arrive towards midnight. Lows of 11°C. ▪️Tuesday: 🌦️ Feeling much warmer than of late during Tuesday with bright/hazy sunny spells, the best of which will be in central and eastern areas. 📸 @therapy.up.north - Saturday: ⛅️ Sunny spells early on then mostly cloudy - Day high 12°C - Night low 4°C - Gentle ENE’ly breeze - ☀️⬆️ 5:41AM - ☀️⬇️ 8:32PM Good morning everyone! A few more days of unseasonably chilly weather before temperatures rise. Here is the latest forecast for Manchester. ▪️Saturday: A dry and fine start with plenty of sunshine. Like yesterday, cloud will increase as the morning progresses and skies will become mostly cloudy by the afternoon. The cloud will be thick enough to produce a few spots of rain and a light shower later, mainly towards the evening. Whilst winds will be gentle overall, there will be occasional gusts up to 25mph which will add to the wind chill. Highs of 12°C. 🟡☀️ Moderate UV (4). 🟡🤧 Moderate Pollen. 🟢💨 Low air pollution (source: DEFRA) ✅👕 Good drying weather for most of the day. ▪️Saturday Night: Skies will remain cloudy throughout the night and there will occasional light rain and drizzle, especially in the south and east. The cloud will prevent a frost forming. Lows of 4°C. ▪️Sunday: 🌧️ then 🌦️ A disappointing day on Sunday due to cloudy skies and outbreaks of rain. Western areas will be driest and it will gradually turn drier more widely towards the middle of the afternoon. A clearance should allow for a bright evening, though. Chilly with highs of 12°C. ▪️Outlook: 🌦️ Much milder/warmer next week. The warmth will be driven by low pressure, so there will still be the risk of showers on Monday and Tuesday, although there will be some welcome sunshine too. Muggy and more mixed from midweek but not turning cold. Full outlook tomorrow! Have a nice Saturday everyone! I’ve had enough of this cold weather now so I’m looking forward to next week. Normally I wouldn’t be too excited about 17°C/18°C, but after being stuck in single figures a lot this week, it will probably feel a lot more pleasant than it normally would. 📸 Partly cloudy skies at RHS Bridgewater on Friday morning. Remaining chilly with mixed weather fortunes this weekend before temperatures finally recover next week. Here is the weekend outlook for Manchester. ▪️Friday: A cold start to the day with plenty of clear weather allowing for sunshine for a fine. Cloud will soon increase through the middle part of the morning and sunny spells will become limited. Largely cloudy skies will follow into and during the afternoon and a few heavy showers will break out. Temperatures will peak at 11°C with a gentle breeze from the East North-East. 🟡☀️ Moderate UV (4). 🟡🤧 Moderate Pollen. 🟢💨 Low air pollution (source: DEFRA) ✅👕 Good drying weather AM but less so from lunchtime onwards. ▪️Friday Night: Cloud will become well broken tonight and once again, there will be the risk of ground frost. Conditions will be dry and temperatures will slip to 2°C. Winds will be light. ▪️Saturday: 🌦️ Another decent start on Saturday with early sunny spells. However, cloud will become widespread and it will feel cold as an east north-easterly breeze increases in speed. Rain will threaten south Manchester by the middle of the afternoon, although areas further north and west may escape the rain. Air temperatures will be touch milder but this won’t be really noticeable. Highs of 12°C. ▪️Sunday: 🌦️ Cloudy and damp for most during Sunday morning with outbreaks of rain, this, this most widespread in the east. Turning drier later with some brightness coming through in the west. Still feel chilly though with highs of 12°C. ▪️Next Week: This current cold air originally sourced from the arctic will finally make way next week. A rather mixed day of weather today. Here is the latest forecast for Manchester. ▪️Thursday: Largely overcast this morning with scattered light showers and drizzle around, especially first thing. Skies should gradually brighten towards lunchtime but a mix of bright spells and isolated showers will feature during the afternoon. Considering it is now late April, it will feel chilly throughout the day. Temperatures will peak at 10°C with a gentle but cold feeling breeze from the north. 🟡☀️ Moderate UV (4). 🟡🤧 Moderate Pollen. 🟢💨 Low air pollution (source: DEFRA) 😬👕 Not the best drying day unless your clothes dry quickly (during drier periods). ▪️Thursday Night: Any showers will die out through the evening to leave a cold night with clear spells and light winds. All areas will be vulnerable to a ground frost, especially where skies clear for longest locally. Lows of 1°C. ▪️Friday: Starting cold with a fair amount of sunny spells on Friday. Cloud will increase and there will be a few showers later, but there will be a few sunny spells too. Still feeling chilly with a maximum temperature of 13°C. ▪️Outlook: Low pressure will begin to dominate the weather scene this weekend, making the weather a little milder but unsettled. Whilst it won’t be a washout weekend, both days will probably present rain at some point, with Sunday looking like the wettest day at the moment. Turning much milder next week but remaining changeable. ▪️Have a nice Thursday everyone! I’m looking forward to it being less cold soon. Not bad overall! ▪️Wednesday: A beautiful start for most with sunny skies overhead despite it feeling cold. Patchy cloud will increase as the morning progresses, and that will leave the rest of the day with a mix of cloudy and sunny spells. The cloud should stay more broken than it was yesterday, equally meaning there will be more sunny spells on offer, especially in the west. A gentle breeze will blow from the north and temperatures will reach a maximal of 12°C. 🟡☀️ Moderate UV (4). 🟡🤧 Moderate Pollen. 🟢💨 Low air pollution (source: DEFRA) ✅👕 Fine to hang the washing outside. Wednesday Night: Another cold night will follow with the risk of ground frost, especially in rural areas. Skies will often be clear and winds will be light. Lows of 2°C. ◼️Outlook: Warmth will continue to evade for the rest of this week and the weather will be rather mixed and often cloudy. Staying changeable and potentially thundery at times next week, although it will at least feel much warmer than of late. More on that soon. ▪️Thursday: ☁️ A dull day on Thursday with spits and spots of rain and chilly temperatures. Highs of 11°C. ▪️Friday: 🌦️ Starting dry with some sunny spells on Friday but cloud will build and there will be a few light showers during the afternoon. Highs of 11°C. ▪️Saturday: 🌦️ Breezy on Saturday with mostly cloudy skies and the risk of showery rain, this mainly after lunchtime. A touch milder. Highs of 13°C. ▪️Sunday: 🌦️ Breezy again on Sunday, with showers at times, although there should be some sunny intervals here and there. Highs of 13°C. Have a nice Wednesday everyone! Today could well be our best day of this week. We just need some fortune with the cloud cover. West will be best today! 🤞☀️ 📸 Rhododendron blooms in Fletcher Moss Gardens, Didsbury. 📸 @jobo_photos - Tuesday: ⛅️ Dry with a mix of cloudy & sunny spells - Day high 13°C - Night low 2°C (risk of frost) - Gentle NNE’ly breeze - ☀️⬆️ 5:50AM - ☀️⬇️ 8:25PM Good morning everyone! Much better weather today! ▪️Tuesday: A mixed morning in terms of cloud with early sunny spells becoming replaced by mostly cloudy skies for a time. The cloud that builds will thin out and break up a little from the north towards lunchtime and this will allow for an afternoon of occasional sunny spells accompanied by dry conditions. Air temperatures will be close to average and despite a chilly breeze from the north north-east, it should feel pleasant enough when the sun pops out. Highs of 13°C. 🟡☀️ Moderate UV (4). 🟡🤧 Moderate Pollen. 🟢💨 Low air pollution (source: DEFRA) ✅👕 A good day for drying clothes outside. ▪️Tuesday Night: The breeze will ease into tonight and temperatures will drop away under long clear spells. All areas will be at risk of a touch of ground frost, so don’t forget to protect any tender plants and flowers. Lows of 2°C. ▪️Wednesday: ⛅️ Another decent day tomorrow with plenty of sunny spells to enjoy. Cloud amounts will be higher after the morning, but there will still be some sunny spells here and there. Dry but cool though. Highs of 12°C. ▪️Outlook: 🌦️ Chilly with sunny spells and the increasing risk of showers on Thursday before an unsettled end to the week and start of the weekend. Temperatures climbing a little. Have a lovely Tuesday everyone! Let’s hope the cloud is in short supply and the sunshine ends up plentiful. Either way, at least today will be better than that dull and damp Monday we’ve just had. 📸 New Islington Marina on Saturday morning with that mackerel sky overhead. Monday: 🌧️ Rain AM; drier PM but cloudy - Day high 10°C - Night low 3°C - Light SSW’ly winds - ☀️⬆️ 5:52AM - ☀️⬇️ 8:23PM Good morning everyone! I think we can be pretty happy with how the weekend turned out. Even with chilly air temperatures, it really felt warm when the sun did come out. Unfortunately, a murky and soggy Monday awaits, although Tuesday and Wednesday will be drier. Here is the latest outlook for Manchester. ▪️Monday: Dull and chilly to start this morning with light to moderate rain. The rain will become more patchy towards lunchtime and there will be some drier periods more widely by the afternoon. Drizzle will interrupt locally these drier periods, although all areas should eventually become dry later in the afternoon. Skies will remain cloudy for most of the day before some late brightness in the west ahead of sunset. Winds will be light with a temperature high of only 10°C. ▪️Monday Night: A chilly night with variable amounts of cloud will follow tonight. Mist will develop rurally and temperatures will drop to around 3°C which will bring the slight risk of a ground frost. ▪️Tuesday: ⛅️ A chilly start on Tuesday with some sunny spells. Cloud building later, but there should still be some occasional bright spells. Highs of 12°C. ▪️Wednesday: ⛅️ Almost a repeat of Tuesday with the best of any sunny spells early in the day. Slight risk of a shower later. Highs of 12°C. ▪️Thursday: 🌦️ Another bright start on Thursday before cloud steadily builds. Risk of showers breaking out later. Highs of 12°C. ▪️Friday: 🌦️ Still chilly on Friday with bright spells and April showers. Highs of 11°C. ▪️Weekend: 🌦️ Turning milder but also more unsettled as low pressure dominates. Have a great day everyone! Despite a chilly week, at least it won’t be a washout all week long. Warm and settled weather still seems to want to avoid us. 📸 One for the cat lovers! 📸 @remje93 - Sunday: ⛅️ Mostly cloudy - Day high 12°C - Night low 4°C - Light NE’ly winds - ☀️⬆️ 5:54AM - ☀️⬇️ 8:21PM Good morning everyone! Yesterday we finally managed a dry day in what seems like a first in recent weeks. Many of us will see a repeat of that dry weather today despite often cloudy skies. ▪️Sunday: A cold and dull to start in most places with localised drizzle which will soon die out. Then, despite large amounts of cloud throughout the day, there should be some occasional bright spells, more so in that afternoon. Winds will be light and temperatures will climb to around 13°C. A dull end to the day is likely as thicker cloud edges down from the north. 🟡☀️ Moderate UV (max 4). ✅👕 A good day for drying clothes despite the light winds. 🟢🤧 Low Pollen 🟢💨 Low air pollution (source: DEFRA) ▪️Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy tonight with the cloud thick enough for light rain and drizzle at times. The cloud will help to prevent a frost and temperatures will stay above 4°C. Like during the daytime, winds will be light. ▪️Outlook: High pressure will retreat westwards and open up those cold winds from the north once again this week, so staying chilly with variable cloud and the risk of April showers. ▪️Monday: ☁️ Cloudy with sporadic light rain and drizzle, although not a washout. Highs of 12°C. ▪️Tuesday: 🌦️ Sunny intervals but turning cloudier with the risk of a shower later. Breezy. Highs of 12°C. ▪️Wednesday: 🌦️ Similar to Tuesday, with a fine start followed by a murkier afternoon with the risk of a shower or 2. Highs of 12°C. ▪️Thursday - weekend: 🌦️ Remaining chilly but turning less settled with a higher risk of April showers. Have a nice Sunday everyone! My optimism paid off yesterday, and it did turn out a lot sunnier than expected, at least where I was, anyway. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for more of that today! It can be tricky to predict where the cloud will be when we have high pressure over us, but it sure is a delight when we get sunshine and light winds at this time of year. 📸 Golden hour at Deansgate railway station on Thursday. 📸 @marking_impressions - Saturday: 🌤️ Spring sunshine AM; cloudier PM - Day high 14°C - Night low 2°C - Light NNW’ly winds - ☀️⬆️ 5:57AM - ☀️⬇️ 8:19PM Good morning everyone! Even though we’ve seen some sunshine this week, we have unfortunately encountered rain at some point each day as well. High pressure has been stuck out to the West, drawing in cold winds and showers around it from the north with a few weather fronts in the mix as well. Such a pain! We should finally have a dry day today, but the cloud is expected to increase later. ▪️Saturday: Cold and sunny to start this morning after a clear night. The April sunshine will lift temperatures quickly and in light winds, it should eventually feel pleasant before the morning ends. The Pennines will block out patchy cloud for a time, but early in the afternoon, the cloud will have more success at spilling in. As a result, many areas will go on to experience a cloudy afternoon. Temperatures will peak at 14°C in the West where the sunshine should last longest and winds will be light. 🟡☀️ Moderate UV (max 4). 🟢🤧 Low Pollen 🟢💨 Low air pollution (source: DEFRA) ✅👕 Good drying weather, especially AM. ▪️Saturday Night: Cold again tonight, albeit temperatures won’t drop as low as on Friday night. Clear spells will bring the risk of a touch of frost and conditions will be dry. Lows of 2°C. ▪️Sunday: ⛅️ Mostly cloudy on Sunday and feeling chilly under the cloud. The cloud may become thick enough for a few spots of rain here and there. Winds will be light. Highs of 12°C. Have a nice Saturday everyone! Sometimes with this weather setup, it can end up being clearer/sunnier than expected. Whilst the models do suggest we’re in for cloudy skies later, a small part of me is optimistic that we’ll do better than the forecast. If not, at least it will be dry! 😎 📸 Sunset at Salford Quays/Media city earlier this week. Taken by Priyanka Agarwal / IG = @marking_impressions #ManchesterWeather #Manchester #weather
