Over 100 Innocent Lives Found Hanging By A Thread In Harrowing Hoarding House... Dozens of emaciated dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens were recently discovered huddled together in filth and despair. This hoarding case rivals our worst nightmares. Within the walls of two condemned houses in High Point, NC a horrific scene was unveiled. Over 100 cats and dogs were trapped in unimaginable squalor. The floors were covered in animal waste, every surface was caked in filth, and the stench of ammonia burned the nostrils. We have no idea how so many of these animals survived in such unlivable conditions. We initially took in 20 of the most critical cases. With the help of animal control, we continued to remove animals from the property over the next several days. Most of them are malnourished and suffering from horrific flea infestations. We suspect that many are infested with parasites and some dogs might be suffering from Heartworm disease. We rescued many pregnant mamas-to-be as well as new mothers and their litters. Some kittens were no more than one day old. These babies were at risk of contracting life-threatening infections in this house of horrors, and malnourished mothers struggled to fill the bellies of their newborns. The emotional trauma these animals endured is unparalleled. Our veterinary staff is working around the clock, administering emergency fluids, flea baths, deworming treatments, and rabies vaccines. However, extensive long-term medical care, nourishing food, and essential supplies are desperately needed. We cannot turn our backs in this hour of need, but our resources are already stretched thin. I just felt like mama Choona deserved it, so I fashioned this queen a crown of wildflowers and native grasses which I laced through baling twine (it does not get more farm/country than that! 😂) and we took to the field! My haterade sipping ex looked at my dainty crown and sneered "that tiny thing for her big head?"
