As a follow up to previous posts about some answers to Questions on Notice I think it’s worth reflecting on the poor manufacturing and packaging of the Covid vaccine. ㅤ As can be seen on page 20 of TGA FOI 2389-3 the size of the lipid nanoparticles can vary by as much as 100% from 60-120 nanometres. ㅤ This means that the number of mRNA strands in each particle will vary significantly as well. ㅤ Furthermore it’s worth nothing that the answer to Question 180 “The mRNA is not measured out for individual vials. This would be logistically impossible considering the billions of doses and vials produced globally” the TGA admit that they can’t be certain how much mRNA is in each vial. ㅤ Where is the safety quality assurance in this? ㅤ And then there is this doozy to Question 179: ㅤ “The margin of error for administering the 0.3 mL dose from the multidose vials will depend on multiple factors, such as the types of needles and syringes used at administration, as well as human error.” ㅤ Human error when you are administering an untested vaccine doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence does it!!! 【香港青年科學院 X 文匯報《青談科研》專欄】 #香港青年科學院 聯同 #文匯報 推出《#青談科研》專欄，推廣全面有趣的 #科學 知識，讓更多青年人認識當今 #科研 世界的發展、建構濃厚科學氛圍。香港青年科學院創院院士兼政策倡議委員會主席 #、#香港中文大學 化學病理學系 #呂愛蘭 教授於5月6日在 #文匯報 的《 青談科研》撰文，主題為「#再生醫學」治心臟病，速滅「心頭大患」。 全文如下： #心臟病 一直是全球人類的「心頭大患」，每年因心臟病而死的人數超過1,700萬人。人類的心臟缺乏再生能力，一旦受損就不能完全修復。因此，許多 #科學家 致力研究 #心臟再生技術，希望從細胞、血管及免疫系統等方面找出治療方法。今次我會為大家介紹 #幹細胞（ #StemCell）治療心臟病的方法、最新的 #mRNA 技術是如何成為治療新方向，以及如何通過人類免疫系統上修復受損的心臟。 為什麼心臟不能再生？ 作為哺乳類動物，人類的皮膚以及有許多器官和在受損後仍能保持自我修復的能力，例如肝臟、腸道等，但心臟卻難以再生。 這是由於人類在胚胎和胎兒發育過程中，心臟細胞會經過細胞分裂，形成數量固定的心臟肌細胞負責泵血，將氧氣和營養物質傳送到身體各個部位；然而，心臟細胞會在胎兒出生後，進入一種無法再分裂的狀態，失去再生的能力，因此心臟一旦受損便不能修補，這也是心臟病致命的原因之一。 儘管如此，不少科學家正努力研究心臟再生的方法，利用具有修復及再生能力的幹細胞，再生或替代機能衰退的心臟肌細胞，促進血管新生，當中包括 #骨髓移植，即抽取他人的骨髓幹細胞，直接注射入自身受損的心臟，以修補損壞的血管及加速血管增生。 不過，此方法會可能會造成移植排斥的現象，嚴重排斥反應甚至會造成器官衰竭，降低存活率。另一個有效的方法，就是 #幹細胞治療，即通過胚胎幹細胞製造心臟肌細胞；不過，由於使用胚胎幹細胞涉及胚胎的摘取和破壞，可能會引發倫理和道德上的爭議，所以有一些國家已經禁止進行相關研究。 2006 年，日本科學家 #山中伸彌（Shinya Yamanaka）成功研發「#誘導性多功能幹細胞」，通過將成人細胞經過特定的基因調控，使細胞回到類似幹細胞的狀態，可以進行自我修復，並且有能力分化成各種不同的細胞類型，包括心臟細胞。 憑藉此項研究，山中伸彌於2012年獲得 #諾貝爾生理學或醫學獎。雖然「誘導性多功能幹細胞」具有廣泛的應用前景，但是這項技術仍處於早期階段，在應用於心臟治療方面仍存在一些挑戰和限制，例如心臟肌細胞功能複雜，並且需要與其他心肌細胞協調運作，一旦出現心律不正，可能影響重要器官的氧流量，造成心臟性猝死。 為了找出既安全又有效的治療心臟病方法，許多科學家正從不同方向進行研究。我和團隊就嘗試使用mRNA（#信使核糖核酸）進行基因治療心臟病，通過血管幫助心臟修復。在研究的過程中，我們發現到人類在胚胎和胎兒期間擁有多種血管新生因子，這些因子在胚胎發育過程中有關鍵的作用，能促進血管形成和組織發育。我們希望研究出一個可行的方法，利用 #血管新生因子，將這種器官再生方法套用於人體的心臟再生。 經過多年的研究，我們發現，血管新生因子經修飾的mRNA能讓心臟重新長出血管，恢復心臟的血液流通。這項技術已成功修復了老鼠的受損心臟，並已進行多期的臨床實驗，相信未來可應用於器官再生、修復和疾病治療等方面。 免疫治療帶來希望 「再生醫學」已經有幾十年的歷史，除了細胞移植、血管新生外，免疫細胞及其治療價值仍存在很多未知的可能性。放眼未來，我希望繼續探索免疫系統和人類疾病之間的關係，例如研究 #淋巴細胞「 #T細胞」的免疫反應，探討這些細胞能如何啟動再生過程，促使心臟和血管的再生。這項技術不僅惠及於心臟病患者，亦希望能幫助解決因血管發炎而無法快速康復的 #糖尿病患者。 治療心臟病的研究領域充滿了希望和挑戰。#幹細胞療法、 #mRNA技術 和 #免疫系統修復 都是當前研究的熱點。隨着科學的不斷進步，我們有望看到更多創新的治療方法出現，為心臟病患者帶來更多治療的新希望！

Meet Saad Sohail from our Platform Chemistry Group, a Senior Research Associate with a focus on advancing our #mRNA and #LNP platforms. Saad was born in High Point, North Carolina, and spent much of his childhood living throughout the Middle East and South Asia, including Pakistan, India, Iraq, Iran, Turkey, Afghanistan, and the UAE. He completed his undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro, and moved to Massachusetts to pursue a career in medicinal chemistry. When he’s not in the lab, he’s spending time in the company of friends and loved ones, or volunteering with community outreach programs. His advice to young Asian professionals: “Express a bit more grace to yourself as it is often something that is difficult to do – especially in our most vulnerable moments!”

AstraZeneca sieht sich in England bereits einer Welle von Klagen ausgesetzt. Einen Zusammenhang mit dem Rückzug der Impfzulassung bestreitet das Unternehmen vehement. Wie kürzlich bekannt geworden ist, hat AstraZeneca zum ersten Mal schwere Nebenwirkungen im Zusammenhang mit seinem Corona-Impfstoff laut Gerichtsakten anerkannt. Diese Entwicklung wird viele Geimpfte jetzt stark beunruhigen, die unter ganz anderen Versprechungen ihre sogenannte „Schutzimpfung“ erhalten haben. Betroffene fragen sich nun, wie es für sie weitergeht, zumal Post-Vac-Behandlungszentren schließen mussten oder Patienten gezwungen sind, sich mit hohen Eigenbeteiligungen zu belasten. Schon frühzeitig wurde die Impfempfehlung von der Impfkommission für Unter-40-Jährige geändert. Der Schaden ist nun da. Von Landes- und Bundesregierung kommen aber keinerlei Zeichen, dass man Fehler eingesteht und den entstandenen Schaden begleichen will. Es herrscht lautes Schweigen. 🤥 Die gezielte Impfpropaganda des BMG, RKI und DRK 🤥 Letzte Woche haben wir über eine Ärztin aus dem Landkreis Bautzen berichtet, die vom Gericht dazu verdonnert wurde, 4000 € ausgerechnet an das DRK zu überweisen, damit ihr Verfahren wegen lediglich 2 (!) Attesten eingestellt wird. 🤬 Das ist eine Verhöhnung der Opfer der #Corona-Willkürmaßnahmen. Denn das Deutsche Rote Kreuz ( #DRK) zählte mit zu den schlimmsten Propagandainstitutionen der Corona-Desinformation. Das belegt auch die folgende Broschüre unter dem Titel "Sachsen krempelt die #Ärmelhoch" aus dem Jahr 2021, zu deren Verfassern u.a. das Deutsche Rote Kreuz gehört. 🔥 Eine Leserin war so freundlich, mir diese Broschüre zukommen zu lassen. In dieser hat sie minutiös angestrichen, welche Falschaussagen darin über die #mRNA-Gentherapie stehen: 💉 sie wäre angeblich von der EU zugelassen gewesen, 💉 sie würde angeblich "bestmöglichen Schutz" bieten, 💉 das Risiko an Corona zu sterben wäre angeblich größer als bei der Grippe, 💉 sie würde angeblich das Übertragungsrisiko minimieren, 💉 schwerwiegende Nebenwirkungen wären angeblich bei den Studien nicht aufgetreten, 💉 sie hätte angeblich keinen Einfluss auf unser Erbgut (DNA). Es handelt sich um eine geballte Ladung gezielter Desinformation‼️ Dass das allermeiste davon schon damals nicht Stand der Wissenschaft war, belegen die RKI-Protokolle. Deshalb ist es nicht nur wichtig, dass die verantwortlichen Politiker dieser Verbrechen gegen die Menschheit wie Petra Köpping und Michael Kretschmer zur Rechenschaft gezogen werden, sondern auch alle anderen Mittäter des RKI, Paul-Ehrlich-Instituts (PEI), DRK sowie der Justiz. Pour remédier à cette disparité, le 21 juin 2021, @who et @Medicines Patent Pool ont lancé un centre de transfert de technologie de l'ARNm en Afrique du Sud, avec le soutien de L'Union européenne au Sénégal et d'autres partenaires locaux et internationaux. L'un des principaux objectifs de ce projet est d'établir ou de renforcer une capacité durable de production de vaccins à ARNm là où elle est inexistante ou limitée. Le Sénégal est l'un des six premiers pays africains à être sélectionné pour recevoir la technologie de production de vaccins à ARNm, et Institut Pasteur de Dakar a été désigné par le gouvernement du Sénégal comme bénéficiaire de la technologie. Cette semaine, Ministère de la Santé et de l'Action sociale a invité une délégation de @who et de @Medicines Patent Pool à lancer le programme local de transfert de technologie de l'ARNm au Sénégal. Nous avons été ravis d'accueillir la délégation, ainsi que @ARP, sur notre campus pour une journée complète de discussions passionnantes à Institut Pasteur de Dakar. Les discussions ont porté sur les aspects techniques du transfert de technologie, en présentant les progrès, les défis et en discutant de la recherche et des maladies ciblées. C'était aussi l'occasion d'explorer la collaboration avec @ARP pour préparer les futures inspections de vaccins à ARNm.
