Happy Mother’s Day 🌷🩵🪽 I became a mom when I miscarried our little angel baby in 2019 and then almost an exact year later we found out we were pregnant with Crue. Then sweet Bowie came to our family last August. My motherhood journey has been filled with lots of ups and downs already and I’m sure there’s much more of both to come. It is such a privilege to be their mom, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. To all the moms, who do all the things, for all the people. I hope today, you were spoiled rotten. And if you weren’t, I hope you take some time to spoil yourself!!!! Grateful today for my own mom, my husband’s mom, and the many mother figures in my life I learn from. One aspect of my Filipino heritage that I love, is how common inter generational living is. I had the wonderful experience of having my grandparents live in my house with me at various seasons of my childhood. My mom’s mom was the ultimate, classy lady. I honestly do not remember ever seeing her without her nails and lipstick done. She taught me a lot about style and how to enter a room- my Lolo (grandfather) adored her, and you saw it. I remember thinking in my youth, find a man like that. My dad’s mom was an adorably petite woman. Like fit in your pocket petite. She was the school teacher in their small hometown and so many people from the area remember her. She lost her husband early in their marriage, and I remember thinking she was really tough, but now looking back I realize she was incredibly resilient and resourceful, because she had to be. Both women always had the exact candy I wanted in their purse at any given moment 🤣 and they both had an endless supply it seemed of McDonalds napkins and McDonalds ketchups whenever they were needed. Both women were their own version of tough, but also spoiled me and my sister in their own way. They raised their kids, my parents, to be tough, but also spoil their kids in their own way. And now I raise my children, with the legacy of the women before me, imbedded in my heart. #mothersday #motherhood #loveyourmother #lola

Who knew a love like this could exist? A love that you could never put into words, even if you spent the span of a lifetime trying to explain. I really enjoyed my mother's day this year!🥰 We began our day with mass followed by May crowning and then the boys took me out to a nice brunch. Joseph tried prime rib for the first time and actually liked it! He kept calling it crime rib🤣 The boys got me some beautiful jewelry, a bible, journal and keychain. I got to relax and do nothing😌🙌👌 I ended the day celebrating my awesome MIL. My boys did good today! I felt honored, loved and appreciated. I feel blessed to be the special woman in my families' life. Being a mom is the hardest role I've ever had but it's been my favorite title I've ever held.
