This beautiful Great grey Owl was hit by a vehicle last week. We had it in our care for triage for several days until @bandstratransportation drove it down south to @owlrehab . Its left eye is damaged from the impact , but the bird professionals at OWLS said this should not have an impact on their hunting skills . Our staff shared this image of the paradise flycatcher. More than the sighting, we are thrilled about how the team has taken to birding and conservation. When they first arrived here, they were scared of wildlife, felt threatened, and, by instinct, always insisted that wild animals infringing on "our" territory was unacceptable. Today, they inform the guests of the leopards in the area and talk about how the gentle giants (elephants) haven't visited in a while and how they miss them. They recognise different snakes and have educated themselves on those from which they need to maintain distance. Birds?
