I grew up in foster care from the time I was a few days old and I became a crown ward of the state once I was a young girl. As a youth I would go speak on the panel at these VERY events explaining to the donors how their financial donations helped me through my time in care. Unbeknownst to KW FCS they reached out to me to decorate for this special night and the rest is history. I now support Guelph, Kw, Woodstock and as of tonight Brantford Fcs for all of their occasions needing balloons and florals. How I started Aurelia… 💐 ✨I had a vague idea that had been itching in the back of my mind for some time. I’d researched briefly into a lingerie subscription service but none existed in Canada at that time, and I thought “would’ve been nice if something like this existed”. I waited and waited for someone else to come up with it. Then, I realized “hey, why not me?” ✨In January 2020, I decided to take the plunge and gave myself a chance. I created the Style Quiz and contacted a few brands, only to be told No over and over again, until @montelleintimates and @blushlingerie gave me my first chance ❤️ ✨I didn’t tell a soul for fear of failure. One thing I knew for sure is that I wanted this to be an online business that caters to as many sizes as I could financially carry, so that I can serve as many women and from different parts of the world as possible. ✨I was shaking in fear at that time, and thought to myself “who do you think you are?” And I guess that’s impostor syndrome. Every step felt hard but then the orders started to trickle in and I was ELATED. My tiny little bud of an idea, someone else believed in it too?! That was magical. ✨As consumers, we all have the power to vote with our dollars. When my first client trusted me and spent her hard-earned money on my little venture, that was a major milestone and a big responsibility all at the same time.
