It’s been quite an exciting week or so here in our little backwater southern town. My local social media feed has included - reposted nonsense from a 20 year retired dentist turned actor turned investment expert claiming his “successful outpatient treatment regimen “ for Covid -19 patients . - a post with a photo of a page of writing by L. Ron Hubbard . The post said “ Good data “. It was neither good nor contained data. L. Ron Hubbard was a science fiction writer and created Scientology and was solely interested in not paying taxes. Fun fact - I did some work at his compound in CA. - so much screeching about human trafficking suddenly. I wonder how many of those posters realize Human Trafficking Awareness Day was July 30th? Also, I wonder if those people realize how many potential trafficking victims - women and children- are being held in Mexico at our southern border as our government diligently tries to deny them asylum. Perhaps the aforementioned folks should scream more about that since they’re suddenly so concerned with saving the children. - and a fun personal experience. Someone actually said to me “ You don’t look Mexican- American “. My immediate thought was “ Well, you don’t look like a dumbass, but here we are !”. My thought remained non- verbal . However, my Latina mother suggested perhaps I could wear a sombrero to help the ignorant and white- privileged to not make moronic comments. Kudos to him for doing what he believes is the best move on our behalf . Which I appreciate because our entire industry is out of work until Civid -19 is under control. Some of my favorites comments- “ It’s all about control people !”. Does this guy know how right he is ? “ Cheatham county still believes in freedom ! “ . What does this even mean ? “I won’t talk to a someone with a mask on...pull that thing down and address me respectfully !” . WTF ??? “Wearing masks causes oxygen deprivation and carbon dioxide poisoning ! “ . So the mask isn’t effective at all at slowing the spread of germs but is strong enough to keep out oxygen and keep carbon dioxide “trapped” inside ? “This will be over in November after the elections!” . One can only hope. “We’ve only had 11 people die in Robertson county !”. The total for the entire country now is over 133,000. How many deaths would be enough for this person just in Robertson county ? And I’m impressed that so many of us can pull up data from the CDC - and then distort it. And then there are the uninspired comments such as “ STUPIDITY” “You’re an idiot! “, You’re a dumbass !”, “ Sheeple !” My personal favorite- “ My body, my choice !”. Most of those using this particular comment don’t really believe in it . They aren’t pro- choice. If I choose to make a personal decision about abortion, that doesn’t affect these commenters, but that woman without a mask sneezing all over the chip aisle at Kroger last week - yeah , she probably will . UPDATE ( Because there’s always more to the story). There were a few people who had to work on Sunday here in our group of buildings They blocked a few spots in order to have access to our parking lot. Our fine alderman helped himself to one of these reserved spots. I’m assuming he added his own name and number to the note because he’s too important to be towed. How thoughtful of him. In our small, wonderful hometown we celebrated our bicentennial with a concert this past Sunday.I knew it would be busy so I didn’t venture down to my studio to work knowing my parking lot would probably be full of people here for the concert . I also am all about supporting my small town so even though I had work to do, I didn’t mind. Plus we’re friendly and welcoming here. We love visitors and new residents. ❤️ I found this bucket with a note taped to it above my A/C unit when I went In to work . Since I haven’t posted a tattoo removal update in a bit, I thought the day of my 6th session would be appropriate. First picture is a comparison of original versus 5 sessions. Second picture is the length of time for the treatment (seems MUCH longer). Third picture is immediately afterwards. People who say Picosure tattoo removal is quick and painless are delusional. It has been almost a year (8 weeks between visits) and I cannot begin to describe the searing pain.
