This was the first prototype of our '90s MTB framebag. For the current design we added a black cordura spine to increase stiffness and durability, a few extra strap locations for better frame mounting flexibility, as well as a few other improvements. Two versions of the bag will be available: - GT (shown here) - Classic (for double diamond frames) Both versions come in four sizes and three colors (yellow, black & white). I found this 1993 GT Outpost listed on fb among other bikes and I instantly recognized it (the owner did not know what a GT is), and knew it was gonna be a good deal. When I arrived there to close the deal, I saw that the bike was huge, which meant that I would finally have a bike for my size! I couldn’t believe it but it was true. I sold my previous bike, the pink MARVIL (✨ rest in peace ✨), to be able to afford building this one and here we are. The bike had been outside for about 1 year or so by what I could gather, and the paint was pretty beaten up so I had to wet-sand it meticulously and polish afterwards. The parts used here are a mix between original, used and new. I was able to preserve the wheels, headset, derailleur and the brakes, although I needed to ask a friend to 3D print these shimano Altus BR-CT90 plastic spring covers, as they are not sold online and I wanted to use them. I sourced the crankset and handlebar used online and the rest of the parts are new. Everything turned out great and feels really good to ride a dialed bike for my size. Shout out to Bruno from @go.by.bike for some extra parts and for helping me with his mega specific tools and also to @o.ar.antes for his 3D printings that saved the otherwise trash shimano canti brakes!
