1996 Cannondale F500 | Size Medium | P-Bone Headshok | Barbeque Black! U-S-A! This F500, a former POLICE bike, is in pretty good condition cosmetically. With a rebuild of the P-Bone Headshok, you'll be rocking and rolling! This 1996 Cannondale F500 started its life as a POLICE bike somewhere in Central New Jersey. If you look closely, you can still juuuuuuuuust see the remnants of the POLICE decals on the top tube. I worked for quite a while to completely eradicate any sign of them using my usual cleaners and techniques, but since the Barbeque Black on this frame is matte, I didn't want to go too crazy. So I did the best I could, and think it looks presentable! Overall, the bike is in pretty good condition, with most of the marks, nicks and scratches being fairly inconsequential. Which is a fancy way to say there are no dents, dings or gouges, particularly on the underside of the downtube, where those can be especially problematic. The P-Bone Headshok on this bike needs to be serviced. I pulled the fork to inspect and clean it, and it makes no sense to reinstall since it has to be gone over. I bought ($20 shipped) and am including a brand new Headshok boot, complete with clamps, so you don't have to source one. The fork is not completely locked up, it does move a millimeter or two, but I don't have the tools to properly take it apart and inspect it further. The chainstay protector mostly did its job, so naturally I removed it to showcase the beauty and shine of the factory paint underneath. Yep, removing chainstay protectors and polishing chainstays is my new favorite thing! Seriously! I measure the top tube to be 21". Everything is straight and solid. 2000 Trek 7000 Vintage 26er | 18" | 22.25" TT | Pearl White | Made in the USA! Super light Zero Excess aluminum, beautiful overall condition, minimal signs of use! This very nice 2000 Trek 7000 is a Pearl White beauty that has apparently been well cared for. There are some of the usual marks and scrapes of use, of course, but I see no major dents, dings or gouges anywhere! The biggest issue I see is storage damage to the decals and some marks on the chainstays (which have very few marks). The bottom bracket spins well. This is an 18" model, and it has a top tube measuring 22.25". The head tube is 4.25" and takes a 1-1/8" headset. It uses a 27.2mm seat post. 135mm rear spacing of course. Please note, the frame has mounts for both DISC and CANTILEVER rear brakes, as well! The paint still shines very nicely. I see no indication a kickstand was ever installed.
