Hi guys, boy has it been a minute! And boy do I have some news for you! Let’s start off with introducing to you this amazing person right next to me Reta (pronounced Rita)! She is my sister and best friend by choice! When I was 16 she got me a job working alongside her in the accounting department. We worked together for 14 years and always knew we wanted to be in business together one day! Fast forward to March of 2020 we bought a Party Rental company! Now I know who would do such a thing right?! During the time frame there were talks of a two week shutdown but who could have possibly guessed what was to come our way! We were both in over our heads as we both had NO EXPERIENCE in this field and took a leap of faith with our husbands by our side! March 2021 I was very scared and worried, but it was finally time to quit my job and work at the company full time! It’s been a crazy transition period, and boy is there a backlog of events now that things are open again! My life of going to Disneyland once a week DRAMATICALLY changed hahah, but I wouldn't change it for the world! Yesterday I had one of THEE best days EVER! I got to take my nephew Levon to Disneyland for the first time, something I have been waiting to do for prob a year and half now! Hehe I have to say we prepared for the worst, but were pleasantly surprised! Levon did AMAZING the whole day! He doesn’t like to sit in a stroller, but he wanted to yesterday annnd to our surprise he napped without us even trying!! Sometimes you just have an extra magical day! I can’t wait to go on many many more adventures together, beeecaauuse MY SISTER ALSO GOT AN ANNUAL PASS!! Eeeek, let the fun begin! This is my first year being able to see what the Lunar New Year at the Parks has to offer, and I have to say I loved it! I can’t wait to go back and experience it again! Festivities going on through February 9th! Here are a things to remember: 1.Mulan’s Lunar New Year Processions (aka parade) times are 11:45am, 1pm, 2:45pm and 4pm 2. Meet and Greets happening in Paradise Gardens. You can meet Mickey, Minnie, Mulan, Mushu, Pluto, Goofy, and the Three Little Pigs! All wearing beautiful traditional outfits. Mickey and Minnie have two separate outfits, one for the Parade and one for the Meet and Greet! 3.Lucky Wishing Wall: Located in Paradise Gardens, you can write your wishes for 2020 on a cute little Mickey shaped card and hang it up with string. Yesterday was an INCREDIBLE and unforgettable day! Rise of the Resistance is such an amazing ride, I can’t wait for more and more to get on it and enjoy the experience! With that, I have some tips that might help make things a little easier! 1. You don’t need to go SUPER early to the parks to get into a boarding group. As long as you are in the park before 8am you have a chance! Peter and I got into the park at 7:54am yesterday morning, and we were able to get boarding group 74! 2. Close out all open apps, and open back up the disney app around 7:58am (just in case it asks you to sign back in again, that happened to me) 3. If you are connected to the Wifi at Disneyland, turn off your WiFi 4. A minute before 8am, click on “Find Out More”, after that do NOT, I repeat DO NOOOT click “Join Boarding Group” Instead click “My Status” and then hit “Join Boarding Group”. There seems to be a little glitch, I kept clicking on “Join Boarding Group” which did nothing, but Peter decided to randomly click on “My Status” and we were able to get into a boarding group that way. 5. If your boarding group gets called, make sure before you stand in line, you use the restroom and have plenty of snacks on hand for the queue! We got stuck when we were waiting in line, and a little water and snacks would have done some good! I’ve been stuck at home with the flu this week and with that I have rounded up a list of meh (due to how I feel) items we tried from the Festival of Holidays! •Vanilla Pear Mule, one word: ewww! (Although looks super cute!) •Loaded Latkes, was just meh and too small of a portion •Vegan Califlower & “Chicken”, Vegan option for the festival but I think the parks have way better options for Vegans then this dish •Holiday Stuffing Mac & Cheese, ours was waay too salty This year was my first time doing the Sip and Savor pass for this Festival and if I’m completely being honest, I really don’t think it’s necessary to get the pass for this event. Reuben Potato Tots found at A Twist on Tradition Marketplace. These Tots had Ham, Russian Dressing, Rye Toast, sprinkled with some chives! Peter and I weren’t the biggest fan of the ham, but the Tots with the sauce were 🤤🤤. I would say though, if you are going to get one thing from this booth, I would get the Beef Wellington instead.
